This looks soooo great Michael! I'm sure Joann loves it too! We are a bit homebound now as we are caring for my 92 year old father-in-law who is staying with us after hip repair and rehab. I know someday we'll make it back to Tennessee and meet all the wonderful teardrop owners! Enjoy your meet-up at the end of the month... It will be a great time. Careful if there are wet leaves on the wooden decks - I fell really hard last year right after I mentioned how slippery the deck and wet leaves were. No broken bones, but looking back, it was like a scene from I Love Lucy! LoL Many blessings! ~ Maria
It’s great to hear from you! I remember you stopping at Edgar Evins on your way through. Hopefully we’ll get to camp together someday. It’s very good of the two of you to be looking after your father-in-law. I’m sure he appreciate’s it very much. Be well!
@@CampandCamera Thank you! It's our second time caretaking. It's a lot of work but when all is said and done, we wouldn't want things any other way. ... The trick is to try to take care of ourselves too, right!?! I tease Gerry (my father-in-law) that I'm shopping for a camper that fits the three of us. =)
I like your roller, I just use a scrap piece of wood and seams to work ok. One thing I would suggest to others is to wait on cutting the sink and holes intell after the countertop is glued and dryer that way you have allot less to try and light up. then just use a router put or the right size drill bits on them. gally looks great with the green! im still trying to figure out what exactly I want to do with mine next spring.
Nice work! I PMF'd all surfaces of my teardrop except for the galley counter front and top. I went with formica on the counter top straight-away since I had some left over from a chuck box project back in the tent camping days. Not sure what your future travel plans are, but the Lone Star Chapter of Tear Jerkers is having our Holiday Gathering at Fairfield Lake State Park 2 - 4 Dec 2022, so if you're close, please feel free to stop by. I'd love to see your Camp EZ up close!
Edgar Evans was a great place. Camped there at Thanksgiving last year. Would be very cool to go to that! The fam and I will just be getting back from dragging ours out to Montana though.
I recently found your channel and have been watching your videos. What an inspiration these have been and I now have way too many ideas bouncing around in my head for the camper that I currently building. BTW I’m building a Chesapeake Light Craft “CLC” teardrop. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos and maybe one day I’ll be able to show my build off.
You may need to place some soft rubber on the outer edge of the round cover to help prevent the cover from tipping to the side when an object is placed off center on it. Like the addition to your galley - that color works!
Saw your teaser photo on the DIY group. Final countertop looks nice! If you have to take this out again, maybe consider putting in a channel to the back of the counter for those wires coming through into your electrical box. That way it slides out & no wires to cut! 👍
i put a skillet on my countertop & it bubbled it from the heat. It was a plastic sheet so it's not exactly what you put on, but I glued it on same as yours. I'm going to go with small tile on mine because i want to put skillets on the countertop. I'd try it on a sample piece b4 1st. I can't believe it's been 3 years since your build.
Hey there! Yep, we did a day in Myrtle back in April. We really just used it as a base camp. We went to Brookgreen Gardens, then up to Oak Island. It was a nice trip.
Nice 👍. Is the tile backsplash you have ceramic tile, or the adhesive-backed vinyl stuff? Just bought a Hiker trailer and thinking of galley add-ons. Years ago, when installing indoor/outdoor carpet in a boat, my wife caught me using her wooden rolling pin from the kitchen to smooth-out the glue under the carpet. She asked if that was the one from the kitchen, and I promptly replied, "Nope, it's one just like it". 🤪
I love the smell of green Formica in the morning!!
Michael looks great but you turning us GREEN with envy! 😂

I love the lime green! I have two wish lists of camp gear. One is lime black and white. I'm jealous!😂❤
That’s so nice! Sun destroys everything I keep outside.
The finished product looks really nice. 😊
You’re right. The green counter top is the PERFECT finish to the galley.
I love it!
that formica totally changed the look of the galley, love it
WOW, talk about making it pop! That really looks nice & like you said, you don't want to overdo it. Thank you for sharing an inspiring video.
Thank you!
Green must be ur favorite color , it is mine !
so pretty!! nice touch. can't wait to see the sink plug.

Going for style bonus points, very nice.
It looks great! And it’ll be easier to clean too!
Love this upgrade Mike!
Counter top looks good! For easier installation, cut laminate slightly oversize and trim after it's adhered with a laminate trimming bit in a router.
Great idea!
Another good episode Michael! Like the mod. Looking forward to Edgar Evins. Unless something drastic happens, I'll be there. See you then.
I look forward to it Ed!
It looks so nice! You are very dedicated to take that all apart. Always in awe of how nice and organized your shop is!
Wow! What a change! It's amazing how changing the colour really makes a huge difference, It looks amazing. Greetings from the UK!

Hey, thanks for the invite!
You're a brave man, Mike!
Looks great!🆒️👏 Mine would be shades of purple, but green is good, too!🙌👌👍🏻

Camped there a couple of times this year, and I just love the deck parking there. I learned about the campground from Camp and Camera!
Looks great!
Looks good 👍👍👍

Welcome aboard!!
I've got a collapsible sink I use work's great
Outstanding, I admire your skill. I have to replace the countertop in my class C motorhome. Hopefully I can do it.
One piece at a time and you can do it.
It looks great!

Great idea! I have plenty left over. I may set a hot skillet on it as a test.
Very nice
Use a rolling pin to adhere laminate
How did u green up your faucet? I love the green! Put the faucet on the end and a sink in a pullout drawer
It’s just a green plastic faucet from eBay.
Fantastic video. It looks great! Saw your Myrtle Beach shirt.....good plug there. Recent trip?

Good rolling pin story! The tile is sticky back vinyl.
@@CampandCamera Appreciate the info 👍
👍
No, you cannot put a hot skillet onto Formica!
😂 It is the smell of chemicals.
