Thank you very much, firstly for teaching me about my Bosch washing machine, but more importantly how to use it. They should send a video link every time they sell a machine, as it is easier than spending hours trying to read the manual. Great Job
My new Bosch was installed today by 2 pm, and I spent over 2 hours studying the guide, and one hour worrying about all its warnings: danger of death, risk of scalding, electric shocks, risks to children and pets, but virtually nothing like your excellent demonstration of what the different programmes are and how to set what one needs - for example, I had five piles of washing waiting for the new arrival, with a deadline for washing and ironing them of 10 am tomorrow, and worked out that this will take 5 x 4 hours, so I would be up and down from bed all night. Thanks to you (but not to Bosch's instructions), I know how to reduce the time but still get good results. Thanks for your very clear and professional U-exposition, Lanna
Serafina Cusack but from this though it doesn't seem that you can make it less then an hour for a single wash. Who the hell is going to wash for a hour!

Watching your video has made all the difference to my understanding the functions of the machine,.You have, in the past minutes given me more help than all the information I have read about the machine in numerous stores and on line. thank you.
Very informative video which explains the operation of the machine far better than the operation manual. I recently purchased this model as a replacement and had difficulty in following the operating instructions. Your video demonstration explains in simple terms the various features of the machine and how to apply them. Thank you very much for taking the time to produce an excellent informative video.
Just watched this again ...as I've been lucky enough to win a brand new Bosch washing machine in a competition! 😀 Have just plumbed it in and am amazed at how quiet it really is.
Congratulations on your win. Most washing machines that use a brushless induction motor will be much quieter than machines using a regular motor. My old Bosch was far noisier.
I bought this washing machine before I saw your review. It's a great machine. I picked up quite a few pointers from your review. Thank you. I'm delighted with how well it washes and how quiet it is plus I got a great price from John Lewis.

I've been looking for some info on the Bosch WAT28350GB as I'm flummoxed by my new arrival. Whilst this isn't the model reviewed here it is by far the most helpful explanation of Bosch's features that I have been able to find. Thank you
Just replaced a Bosch washing machine after almost 22 years. (bought in August 1995) I had a repair on the spiinner about 8 years ago. Hope this new Bosch lasts as long.
This Video is Amazing! Even when the washing is finished, The control panel will show - - Afterwards, It will show - 0 - When you press the start reload button again, After a short pause, The control panel display will show "NO" After 13 seconds, It shows "YES" When the cycle is finished, The control panel will display - - Then afterwards, It shows - 0 - then a Three-Beep Signal, If you leave it in the end of cycle signal for more then 60 seconds, It'll continue beeping until you move the control dial to "Off"
The laundry might have come out clean, but did you not notice the remaining soap suds? I also have this machine and I find even with the aqua plus my washing comes out soapy. This machine does not take in nearly enough water. I actually resort to pouring in extra water with a watering can!
Brian Spraggon I read an article about modern washing machines and some experts, or faceless people touted as experts anyway, say that much of the time they don't even bother using detergent in their machines. Because so many washers have a build-up residue of detergent from past washes. Coupled with the cleaning power of hot water and the agitation of the machine I can see their point. I suspect the answer is to use less product, which is what many pros keep telling us to do anyway. I have had the same problem with this machine in the past; not on every wash though. Oh well, be frugal?
@@aerialkate good suggestion ...I have awful skin irritation because of this d*mn thing not washing off the clothes well enoguh.. started using detergents for babies... have you found any other sollutions ?

Hi there, I just got this few days again but as a 2nd hand, but I have a bit of a problem, whenever am doing 15min wash, it increases the time to 28mins and keep increasing. Even if am doing the mixed wash which is 1hr it also increases the time. Please what can I do to fix this
I bought this washing machine about ten years ago after my old Hotpoint washer broke down. A few days after it was installed it developed a fault with the wash indicator light, I phoned the retailer which was run by a friend of mine and I also spoke to Bosch about it. They recalled the machine and I was given the amount of money knocked off on another washing machine.
I wonder if this was one of the last machines on the market before Bosch moved their production to China? I still have my Siemens washing machine from 2007 and the functions are very close to this one including the beeping sound at the end. There is a big difference though. I guess my machine is probably not as eco friendly. It takes a lot more water in. Maybe that's the reason a standard wash is a fair bit quicker on my Siemens?
Hello, We've recently purchased this washing machine, now we have it for 6 months and a technician came to visit us 4x in those months. It started to make wierd sounds and the wash button kept (blinking) even though we have put a little amout of detergent. Suddenly it started to change the programs buy it self, the filter couldn't catch up when it went to rinse/spin. We called many times to complain to Bosch and tried to get a refund fron Currys where we purchased it. But they didn't want to even help us or to get our refund back. Any idea what can we do, and why the programs keep changing but it self? Thank you
I haven't had any problem with mine so I can't help I'm afraid. I would pursue Currys for a refund or replacement as it's legally the retailer's responsibiliy if you have bought a faulty product. There is plenty of information on the internet regarding your legal rights.
Nice to see you are getting noticed. Just general question about washer... Even If there is a detergent compartment, can I still just put detergent with cloths in the beginning? Thanks
+Google ruined RUclips Forever I got this washing machine to review, not because of my channel, but because I was selected at random after Bosch requested reviewers on their Facebook page. Not sure I understand your question, can you rephrase it please.
+ibaisaic I think all washers have container where you can put detergent and fabric softener and machine automatically uses that during washing cycle. But instead putting detergent there, can you put directly to washer with cloths..? I hope I did better job this time, English is not my first language. Also...for whats your opinion on Bosch vs Miele for washer and dryer...? Just wandering, Miele don't sell washer and dryer in Canada sadly.. Thanks again.
+Google ruined RUclips Forever It would be possible to put detergent directly into the drum, providing you were not doing a prewash. The fabric softener can only be put in the draw so it is released automatically into the final rinse water. I like Miele machines, but they are very expensive and very costly to repair if they go wrong. Bosch machines are more affordable and I have always been happy with the Bosch products I own and have owned.
That was a good review. I might buy this machine. The quiet motor is a real plus. The only thing that bothers me about it... as with my Bosch microwave... is that bliddy beeper when the programme has finished. Why do the engineers like those beepers so much? I could open it up and desolder the beeper, but that would invalidate my guarantee. I've had a Bosch slimline dishwasher for 15 years. It's been a dependable machine, but the programme selection buttons have now become a little unresponsive. I wonder if a new Bosch dishwasher will also have a warning beeper... My house will be filled with the sound of beepers going off. Aaaarrgh!
wonderful explanation of the various buttons etc, thank you. what I find confusing is which type of clothing goes with each setting? For example is easycare suited for my good shirts or is that just for tracksuits, tee shirts etc? what would you use a SuperQuick wash for? what is the difference between Cottons 40deg and Mixed Load?
If your shirts are 100% cotton, you could use a 40 degree cotton cycle, but 40 easy care would be fine too. The main difference between selecting cottons or easy care is the amount of agitation, i.e.how fast and how often the drum turns and the maximum spin speed available. All your shirts should have a care label on them which will suggest the best programme, but I personally would wash them on 40 easy care. I tend to use mixed load most of the time because it will wash a full load of mixed cotton and man made fibre garments in about an hour. The 40 cotton programme takes a lot longer unless you select the speed wash option. Speed wash is only suitable for a small load of clothes that need freshening up and are not really dirty.
I have just had my Bosch washer dryer delivered and found this informative. However on using the machine the dryer was on too long and I turned it off but after an hour I stilol can not open the door what do I do?? Thank you,
+ibaisaic got it ! it is amazing washer ! such a quiet on spining cycle . i actually couldnt believe it . i dont need to close the doors now to my utility room .
What are the boxes round 40 and 60 degrees? Is it automatically an eco wash? If so does that mean the only 60 option is a cold wash and defeats the point?!
The boxes indicate the most economical option for that programme. The water will be heated to 40 or 60 degrees depending on the programme selected. The eco programmes tend to take the longest to complete.
What is the rinsing like in this machine and what is the default number of rinses? I have a Panasonic machine which is only a few years old and although it is a brilliant machine when it comes to stain removal it seems to be quite harsh on the clothes and it only does 2 rinses as standard so I always have to select extra rinse. Also, the programme options are irritatingly inflexible and there is no delicates cycle other than the wool cycle which is so stupidly gentle I think my cat would survive it! I had a Bosch WFF2000 for years which was such a fantastic machine but was noisy. I am half considering getting one second hand unless I can find a new machine that allows me to do what I want.
+Paul S I can recommend a Samsung, I've got the 12kg model and I have to say it's brilliant, there are many programmes and options to choose from, including many different cycles for stains, it's super silent and let's you do up to 5 rinses, although I have to say it's not that necessary as when you wash any heavy (towels, bedsheets etc) it will do every interim spin at 1200rpm for atleast five minutes! It's great and really does wash well, oops nearly forgot, it's also got the bedding cycle which fills almost one quarter up the door on both the wash and rinse, the only downfall is the max spin 800rpm but I suppose you can always respite, I hope this helps ;)
+HOTPOINT ROCKS (Not!) thanks for that detailed reply. I eventually sold the Panasonic and found a WFF2000 in brilliant condition and am absolutely over the moon with it as I knew I would be. Great to have the normal programmes back instead of 'shirts' and 'sports' with unchangeable temperature settings and a timed fill. The WFF2000 has always been my dream machine and I will keep this one going as long as I can!
Hi all very informative ! Is there a way just to rinse and not spin. Doesn’t seem too… however if I do my wash ( for drip drying ) and set my Mc to No Rinse. When finished Open door ( if it lets me ;) ) empty garnent and then empty Mc with Drain feature … Anybody recommend this ?
Ok. I have a couple questions. Does the time of the programme change depending on the weight. Cause it skips from 250 to 130. Also is the shortest wash you can do is a hour unless it's a spin which is 36mins approx. Can you change the timing of the wash. A single wash can't take over a hour to wash
Thanks for your vedio please if I have mixed load how can i set my machine on minimum time and less on my electric Bill. please tell me step by step i am using for the first time. Thanks .
Turn the dial to mixed load and press the eco perfect button for the most economical wash. To take less time you need to use the speed perfect option but it will use slightly more electricity than the eco perfect button.
I have the WAE20321 model. Is it safe to use liquid detergent in the II chamber? I tried once but the liquid disappeared from the chamber. Is this normal or should I use powder instead? Btw I have the machine almost 5 years and this is the first time a used the detergent on the chamber and not directly in the laundry as you did.
Sorry I know I’m late and u might know now but it shows them cycles are slightly more ECO then the rest and ensures that it’s not adding Any Access water that it needs
Mine goes walkabouts around the kitchen - and I have the same kind of kitchen set up you seem to have. I've always had this problem, with any washer I've ever owned, to some extent - but this machine is the most mobile. Don't know what to do about it. Bought machine from Curry's and when I told the man who delivered and fitted it he just shrugged and said, "Yeah, sometimes they do that.". No help whatsoever. And obviously I'd paid for the fitting service. Do you have any tips about mobile washers? Nice explanation of the machine by the way. I agree about the unclear markings on the control / program panel. You have to be so careful.
I have never had any problems with any of the washing machines I have used going walkabout, but I live in a new build house with a concrete floor. It is important to correctly level a washing machine using the adjustable feet and a spirit level which should limit any unwanted vibration and movement.
Does your model have the child lock facility? Once the programme has started you press the start button for a few secs and CL appears on the screen. Now, small children can't change the setting, nor can adults accidentally brushing past the buttons. At the end, press the button again for a few seconds. CL appears again and then goes off, ready for the next programme you need to select.
Does each cycle have a pre wash? If so I use pods so do I need to put detergent into the unit too so the main wash actually has detergent and it’s not used up in the pre wash if new water is in after the pre wash?
Prewash is an option on certain programmes and has to be selected before the wash starts. You can’t use pods inside the drum if using a prewash, you need to dispense detergent via the drawer.
Excellent review only one thing missing: When you turn the programme nob it would be very useful if the timer display is also visible because then we can see how long exactly the individual programmes take. Maybe in future you will include that; please also include a quick roundtrip of the programmes when you have pressed the speed perfect button so the time reduction is visible too. Thank you for sharing. Quick question: Does the machine still do the beeping if you press it on the timer delay button? If so, it would be highly annoying to be woken up in the middle of the night because the washer has finished.
+ibaisaic i am going to return it this machine again- SECOND TIME !!! the mixed wash 1hour - its take longer- almost double time, very noisy also !!! very bad luck for me. I had WAE24162GB/03 for 12 years and still working condition but a bid smelly and noisy ....even i tried to clean on 90 degree doesnt help, thats why i decided new model
What does this weird frame -like,pointy symbol that encloses "40ºC" and "60ºC" mean(i can't describe it better)? It appears only in cotton cycles.I have also seen it on other machines.
my bosch machine pours water into the II compartment before it starts washing... but that's where i should put my liquid detergent yes? Why does it pour water there in the start of a cycle?
Most washing machines will fill with a bit of water before filling up via the compartment that contains detergent. This is to partly fill the drum to prevent the detergent getting wasted in the drain sump.
I bought a 2nd hand one of these today, it still looks immaculate. I was surprised that the wash takes around 3 hours and doesn't actually heat the water at the start (it starts heating about an hour later). But maybe I've never sat and watched one of these things before. Yes, it's really quiet and the clothes come out almost dry at 1400 rpm. I especially like that it starts when you press a button, on my others you'd have to hold the button in for a few seconds or it just ignored you... 😑 Hopefully by 2030 we can have a door that unlatches the second it finishes, rather than having to stand there looking at it for exactly one minute 🙄
hello, I have a question. I have bought a serie 4 bosch washing machine(wak20267in), in the mix load mode the time fluctuates. It increases time automatically. is this normal or do I need to repair it?
Thanks for thew review. Great stuff:-) I'm in a tiz as to get the Bosch WAT28370gb 9kg or the WAQ283s1 you've reviewed.???? Anyone know release dates of both?? Id prefer the most newest model from the two. Also, the WAT28370 has an LED touch screen which I understand is a bit sensitive.I like these straight forward controls on this one but really looking for a 9kg. Thanks for any help if you can offer:-)
I can't help as I can only comment on this Bosch and the other Bosch machines I have owned. Bosch may do a 9kg model with simple controls so I would check their website for more details.
I understand that this review is on a European Bosch model, and different from the models made for North America. Unlike the European models, where they heat their own water, North American models do not, because most homes here use a tank water heater, and draw the hot water from there. My only concern is if the North American models take over 2 to 4 hours to wash a single load of clothes, that it isn't energy efficient. I currently don't need a new washer, but if I have to move to an apartment, a compact washer would be needed. I like front loaders, and have used them in my home since 1999. I had a Frigidaire, and is owned by Electrolux. I currently have an LG, and is ok, but slow at filling up. The soil level partially determines how long it does. I always do a normal cycle on my LG with an extra rinse, and if the soul level is light, it only takes 1 hour. Heavy soil can take as long as 1 hour 45 minutes, and over 2 hours if the load itself is heavy. This is something I will have to consider when I have to buy another front loader washer, and even more so, if I have to buy a compact washer, should I have to move into an apartment. If North American Bosch models take as long as European Bosch models, they won't get my business.
I'll be interested in your thoughts on a cordless Bosch vacuum if you decide to get one. Despite having the GTech Air Ram, I'm not a fan! I have the Bosch GS50 Power Silence cylinder. Not a bad machine but certainly no better than my Sebo K series in terms of performance and certainly much filthier when it comes to emptying. I have the same kettle as you but in black and I've had two replacements in 15 months due to water leakage into the base... Certainly not a good run! Congratulations on scooping the washer to test & keep!
+Sajid Shaikh I may get a Bosch Athlet if I see a good deal. Not had any problems with my Bosch kettle or toaster and nor has my Mum yet. I sold my Air Ram long ago and doubt I would get another unless something radically different came out.
@@yalrikabi2007 yes I saw it when looking at the Samsung's all though my dad won't be able to afford one Because the new Quick drive is very expensive also I'm not a fan of the add wash door. So this one I'd prefer to get my dad anyway however they look great and I will say that.
Possibly if you have used fabric conditioner in the final rinse. If not, I suggest reducing the amount of detergent or selecting the extra rinse option.
Hi, That was a nice video. I am looking at Bosch Serie 4 washing machine for purchase and your video helped me gain insight to the various wash modes of the machine. Thanks for the same. I had a question. Can I use a Bosch front-loader washing machine, if my load is less? For example, if I have around 15-20 pieces of baby clothing, which I would like to wash in a separate cycle, can I use the machine to do it? Which setting does this job the best? And what would be the approximate duration for that? Thank you.
You can wash smaller loads in the machine as it will automatically adjust the water level according to the weight of the load. You need to follow the washing instructions on the clothes in order to select the correct programme.
Thanks for the response. One more question: Does the machine adjust the time taken also, depending on the load? Same example as above, if there are just 15 baby clothes washed using "Easy Care" or "Mixed Load" modes, would that take lesser time to run the full cycle, than that of a full load with adult clothes? Thanks.
Thank you very much, firstly for teaching me about my Bosch washing machine, but more importantly how to use it. They should send a video link every time they sell a machine, as it is easier than spending hours trying to read the manual. Great Job

Thanks very much SO helpful!

I have just had my Bosch washer dryer delivered and found this informative. However on using the machine the dryer was on too long and I turned it off but after an hour I stilol can not open the door what do I do?? Thank you,
Had .my machine for 7 years lol lost manual thank you I have learnt alot I know what buttons mean
I'm a little concerned that there seems to be a bit of detergent left in the laundry at the end of cycle. I see foam left during that final spin.
It's the fabric conditioner.
Hi, I have to put for bosh washing machine ECOLOGIXX 9 VARIOPERFECT the end of cycle alarm
Hi ! bought the same model of Bosch like yours. It will be delivered tomorrow . hope it works as good as i can see on yor video.
I can see no reason why it shouldn't.
When finished Open door ( if it lets me ;) ) empty garnent and then empty Mc with Drain feature …
Anybody recommend this ?
is it okay to leave the cap inside the drum??? Won't it melt or break your machine?
What is wrong with my bosch washing machine. It has refused to take water from water system. The water inlet pipe is empty
Where can I buy one of these Bosch washers? It’s hard to find front loaders here in America that use a heating element...
great video, very helpful, many thanks
Great but I have difficulty to start button
I like this model. Excellent product.
Ok. I have a couple questions. Does the time of the programme change depending on the weight. Cause it skips from 250 to 130. Also is the shortest wash you can do is a hour unless it's a spin which is 36mins approx. Can you change the timing of the wash. A single wash can't take over a hour to wash
How do you attach the emergency door release rod at the lower end
Is there an update version of the vario perfect?
Does this machine have a 'clean machine' cycle?
Which washing machine heats the water better?
can you do your next review on the zanussi upright vacuum cleaner
+Owais Hussain I have no plans to get a Zanussi at the moment as I have a lot more cleaners to feature, but I will think about it for the future.
Hi Ibaisaic, I was just wondering if you found the Bosch superior to the AEG or the AEG superior to the Bosch? Thanks :D
Well, I sold the Bosch and kept the AEG as I prefer it.
Thank you for such a quick reply :)

The washing machine in this video is white.

Hi Roger, I know your mom has the Miele washer and now you have used the Bosch washer.. What one do you feel is the better machine?
Miele
What is the significance of the box drawn around the 40 and 60 on the cotton programme selection side of the dial? Thanks.
Sorry I know I’m late and u might know now but it shows them cycles are slightly more ECO then the rest and ensures that it’s not adding Any Access water that it needs
@@Zachery-0 Really appreciate you replying and explaining. Thanks👍.
@@Robutube1 no problem x
It is important to correctly level a washing machine using the adjustable feet and a spirit level which should limit any unwanted vibration and movement.
ibaisaic I knew a bloody spirit level would come into it. Always the drama! I suppose I should've got it sorted years ago. Thanks for replying.
I don’t know as I don’t own this machine anymore.
Nice shirt and a great tip for "spin only" at 5:40
Dear ibaisaic - do you have water on door inside when its finished wash ?
Please reply
Thank you
+lulu26k There is always a bit on water on the glass, but that's normal.
+ibaisaic i am going to return it this machine again- SECOND TIME !!! the mixed wash 1hour - its take longer- almost double time, very noisy also !!! very bad luck for me. The depth is with the door or without it?
my bosch machine pours water into the II compartment before it starts washing... but that's where i should put my liquid detergent yes? Why does it pour water there in the start of a cycle?
Most washing machines will fill with a bit of water before filling up via the compartment that contains detergent. This is to partly fill the drum to prevent the detergent getting wasted in the drain sump.
Thanks for you prompt reply. I will follow you instruction.

love this machine 😉
Do I have to open and drine water from service flap every wash and want it the perpose of that service flap.
A delayed response, nevertheless draining out the service flap once a month suffices.
Best one. Thanks
Hopefully by 2030 we can have a door that unlatches the second it finishes, rather than having to stand there looking at it for exactly one minute 🙄
hello, I have a question. I have bought a serie 4 bosch washing machine(wak20267in), in the mix load mode the time fluctuates. It increases time automatically. is this normal or do I need to repair it?
I believe it is normal as many washing machines change the time and water levels after they have worked out the size and absorbency of the wash load.
@@ibaisaic I did the Bosch WAT28370GB on spin 1400 rpm

Thanks.
