When drilling on a smooth shiny surface like that, use a punch or even a hammer & screwdriver to make an indentation in the metal, the drill bit will not slip then....
Use a centre punch then put a bit off masking tape on it so the drill bit wont slip get a whole drill corect size bobs ya uncle 😊 plus you want the sink in front off ya so you not leaning to one side and get a bad back
You might as well just placed the bowl in whole then removed to throw water away each time
