A Bit of an Unconventional Campervan Trip Back Down to Devon!

- Today we're heading back down to Ilfracombe, Devon, this time for a bit of a different campervan trip, we're also here to finally pick Mum back up, as she's been down here for a month now! This won't be a traditional campervan trip, but we're still be camping in some beautiful locations!

Welcome to Taylors Aboard a Campervan, our sister channel to you guessed it Taylors Aboard a Narrowboat. On this Channel, we're be converting our new, well new to us 2005 Peugeot Boxter. which we bought to replace our Renault Kangoo, which is too unreliable, uneconomical, and small for Dad to sleep in. This van was an ex-school bus, with only 80k miles on the clock, 3 new tires, a new exhaust, But most importantly it starts every time and doesn't have a fuel leak. The two big problems with buying an ex-school minibus are, one, it came with 14 seats in the back that we have to remove and try to get rid of. two it has a speed limiter on it. This van is so big we can all sleep in it, allowing us to travel to beautiful places far and wide, like Scotland and Wales, whilst staying in the van. So join us as we convert this ex-school bus into a beautiful family camper, from electrics, plumbing, and gas to building 3 beds, a kitchen, a dinette, and a toilet all into a 6ft by 11ft box.

Andy is right by the way, shore fishing around Cornwall been in the decline for the last few decades.
Not sure if it’s just over fishing or a combination of pollution, climate change etc.

Andy's right as we used to stay in a cottage at Heal Bay mum dad & I and my sister was married to Trevor and boy was he keen on fishing they would tow there caravan down but he loved Ilfracombe for it's harbour wall and in 1974 he would cast out and about 2 minutes he would shout out got one but my dad & mum were more keen on pitch & put so my sister would sit in the car with a flask of tea but Trevor wouldn't even know we had gone but he would gut them for our fish meal in the evening another time after Win & Trevor had two sons about 12 years later they all came to Lymington where I had a 14 ft boat so I took them all out fishing all day and never got a bite so Trevor said hey look a pier where's that ? Yarmouth I said !! Well what about all night fishing boys we can catch the ferry so back we went to go to get the ferry and it's the worst night in my memory the tide went out so the only thing Trevor caught was the ferry back as me and the boys we miffed off 😏
