I pray this video encourages & edifies you in this area of your life, and that it most importantly points you to God's Word. 🙂Please don't just take my word for it, but dig into the Bible for yourself!
Until a few months ago I was legalistic on this and didn't even realize it. I do still strongly believe God wants us to dress modestly, but no longer say it's a sin for a woman to wear pants or to wear jewerly, etc. I thank God He lead me to understand I was wrong and to repent.
Praise God. He is so good. That season of my life was a nightmare. Writing random pastors going crazy asking if makeup is a sin. What it did show me was that makeup was a huge and I mean HUGE idol in my life. The positive thing that came out of me stopping the makeup was embracing the true beauty of the inward of a quiet and gentle spirit. The beauty of good works. I think its sad when us women try to find out beauty in the outward. Makeup is not sinful but the heart can make it sinful when it becomes way too important. I actually think women are better off focused on God and not their outward appearance so much. It's beautiful to be free.
@@stephaniejazzy7359 Same thing happened to me. I started seeing myself as more beautiful (I never really used make-up in the first place, but I del ugly for other reasons, also because of bullying and such) and actually love using dressings and skirts. I felt bad wearing most pants, not because it's wrong per se, but because I was afraid they showed my butt too much; and I always felt that way, even before becoming a Christian, so it's a personal convuction. My mom would never buy me dresses, so I'm happy I do wear them now. The bad part was legalism and unknowingly trying to add or have works to be saved and never really feeling I was trurly saved. Thanks to a video and a few sisters on the internet, I started thinking and was able to get out of it. But ultimately it was thanks to God. Even when I was in it, I never stopped praying that if I was wrong about it, He would show me the way and truth. And He did.
@@Katia25 That is literally exactly what I went through. I am glad you wrote about your story. You talked about how the pants highlighted your butt. That's exactly what I got convicted about years ago. I just don't think it's right for everyone to know what the shape of your butt looks like. I always keep my butt covered. I found the best way to do that was with dresses and skirts. I used to HATE dresses. Now I love them. Funny how we can relate in many ways. Struggled for 10 years not being assured of salvation. Now I rightly understand the gospel. Praise God. He is so good to us. Thank you God for having mercy on us and allowing your Spirit to bring us to the greatest joy of understanding the true gospel. Amen! So nice chatting with you my sister. I also had the same experience. I kept asking God to show me where I was wrong and to help me believe the true gospel in the word of God. Amazing how He answered our prayers!! Thank you God!!!!!
It is not a sin for a woman to wear pants, jeans and jewelry at all. But you have to consider your own convictions, and however you dress is between you and God. But no one should ever despise or call out people who do wear skirts below their knee all the time, prideful.
My manner of dress is really about my personal ethos. Other people go to church dressed how they like and I'm just glad they came. For me, personally, I prefer to dress nice at church and in my daily life. Going to church has a certain amount of reverence for me so I treat it differently than I would getting dressed for a trip to Walmart. Some people don't make that distinction. We live in a very casual age where people will wear pajama pants everywhere they go, whether it be to church or Walmart or a funeral. That is their ethos and I'm not going to judge.
I am an ex mormon, when I was in the "church" as soon as I put on my suit and tie, pride kicked in. I looked down my nose at everyone who wasn't dressed as I was (a common thing in the church, some will say otherwise though) I left the "church" and became a nudist for a time and strangely actually felt closer to God, I have since become a Christian and just wear jeans and a t-shirt and feel very close to God. For the most part I don't care anymore what someone else wears when worshipping God.
We need to remember everyone has different convictions & are on their own walk with the Lord, their walk is not ours! It's personal. Those questions are SO good!! We should definitely be asking ourselves those questions.
@@holyexperience1976 I'm really gratitude for your kind words. Actually, no one did anything wrong to me. But I'm really disappointed the way, the modern society going on. Very fair. My church is very legalistic when it comes to clothes but only for women tbh. And we all wear super formal clothing, like for a funeral or something? Which…is not appealing to young people, I’m sure you can understand why 😂 Either way, I do respect church environment and wear nicer clothes and cover up to show respect for God.
I love your kindness and calm voice. I have to mention something though... This is not a pride moment in any way for me, I am really just wondering about it... I have a big bust. More than average. When I wear the exact same top that my friend does but she's a bit more flat, I get stares, Whether it's a turtle neck sweater, fully covered, I am the one who has "more". It's easy for the friend to wear a pretty sundress with no complaints, the sundress that I absolutely love btw, when I wear it my chest area is obviously a bit more exposed and it might look like "asking for it". I have made peace with it and couldn't care less if people stare because this is my body. This is the size and shape of what my body is and nothing can change it. Literally the only thing that can make me more "modest" is a massive oversized T shirt. I know it's much more about our hearts than outward appearance but this has been a problem that I might seem like I want the attention because of "the ladies" when I just really really want to wear the nice yellow sunflower dress in peace.
You should look into Arabian modern dresses for women and Indian modern dresses for women online; they are made and designed for Arabian Mediterranean women with a lot of curves, they are elegant and modest and they should look really good on your body type They are modern so they are not over the top ethnically
If someone is giving you a hard time about it that's something they need to work on imo. Follow your convictions. There's something out there for just about everybody. As long as it's not super skin tight it should be fine. I avoid spaghetti straps because of the support issue.
When we choose our clothing, we not only are to glorify God in our appearance, but also prefer and love others by our choices. We might want to wear that pretty sundress because we think it’s cute but if by wearing it, we are showing cleavage, etc, then we are not humbly thinking of others ~ such as other wives who really don’t appreciate a woman showing their husbands and drawing attention to something about them that should be kept private and covered up. If our desires and convenience selfishly come before thinking of others, then that isn’t showing true love and it is not Godly modesty.
God said we are a chosen peoples and a Royal priesthood. We are to be examples of Christ. This includes how we dress. Not like the world but Set Apart. God gives us examples of how we should dress because of how He wants us, His children to present ourselves in the world.
@@simplified_faithof course sister. Scripture 1 Timothy 2:9-10 says, Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive apparel, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.
@JesusSavedElmo Yes, I most definitely think women should dress feminine. The point is, we should not make our clothing an idol, as to be spending all our money on expensive apparel and jewelry. Scripture Deuteronomy 22:5 says, A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.
If you are being arrogant especially due to something superficial like clothing choice you are not being modest modesty is a value and a state of the heart at its core and it all about being humble

Great video, but heard some calvinism phrases such as chosen /predestination. (Titus 3:8 salvation is an issue of belief that Jesus' blood paid all our sin debt. .. 'those who have believed' it doesn't say 'those who were chosen.') When one dies and God asks why they should enter heaven, the wrong answer is 'i was predestined/chosen for salvation' Romans 10: 9-11

Thanks for this video. I don't feel righteous about dressing modestly, I also don't know if everyone would consider my clothing modest by the way. I do catch myself to be judgmental in church about clothes that some people are wearing: to tight, to revealing. Next time I will think about this video. Another question to ask ourselves, and I also say this to myself, who made these clothes? Is it made by people who work in terrible circumstances, who barely get paid for their hard work? It's a difficult one.
Appreciate this video. I think its our human tendency to run with things. Ive been on the giving and receiving end of judgment by fellow "believers" based off my appearance. And you best believe i had to do some soul searching for myself and learn boundaries.
Do you think we should dress elegantly to church? I sometimes get the impression that we can dress to nicely that someone who doesn't have elegant clothing or cannot afford it will feel out of place.
I’m not dressing down to avoid making someone uncomfortable, we all have our own walk with the Lord and we all come from different financial backgrounds, and in whatever state we are, we are called to be content.
@@wendymtzc that's true, I have experienced myself over 10 years ago when we were very poor that God used our lack of resources for beautiful clothing to build me up in my identity in Him, stripping me of false ideas and making me so much more confident in who I am in Him instead of who I am because of how I dress. Now we are in a completely different place by His grace but I still keep the lessons I learned in that season. Engaging in any thoughts, behaviors, or actions that promote a sense of self-righteousness can be considered a spiritual wrongdoing. Instead, our focus should be on attaining the righteousness bestowed upon us by Jesus Christ. Thus, anything that stirs up our pride and self-importance does not align with Jesus' intentions for us. Moreover, our purpose is not to indulge in discerning between good and evil; rather, we are called to walk alongside Christ, embracing His love and constantly renewing our perspectives. Lastly, it is crucial to prioritize the purity of our hearts rather than merely maintaining an outward appearance. Otherwise, we risk becoming akin to the Pharisees, who were focused on external displays rather than internal transformation.
God doesn't change and dont assume he thinks and wants something that he has not mentioned in his word if he didn't like it in the old testament he still doesn't like it now let us obey the Lord without questions or trying to understand him we can't that why he is God let us just believe his word then he will send the spirit a gift that brings understanding the bible is very spiritual
Rachael Mushalo has a RUclips channel who says she has been shown by God, women are not to wear pants, jewellery, makeup, anything fake. He only wants us in Holy long skirts, dresses and completely covered. She said she saw visions of women who wore those things in hell. I’ve been struggling with understanding this for a few years now. Would love to hear other people’s feed back on this? God bless you all 🙏
My question would be why are you trusting this woman’s “vision” from God rather than praying about it for yourself. Whether dressing as Rachael says you should or like a Kardashian, is pride an issue?
@@username00009 well I guess this is what I’m questioning. It’s not just her testimony but there seems to be others as well all saying the same thing. It’s not about dressing like a Kardashian, it could be light or minimal makeup, and loose pants. They back up their testimonies with scripture like in Deuteronomy. Anyway, I’m still searching and praying about it, just don’t want to be influenced by what is being said but by what God really wants. I trust he will lead me to all truth. 🙏
@@carolineshenouda8453 you can find the answers to ur questions in scripture. Personally I only wear long loose skirts and dresses I don't wear much jewelry and rarely ever wear makeup. A lot of that is my personal choice I was never big on make up or jewelry. Dresses and skirts were more comfortable after having my 1st son however it was also conviction from God. We are called to dress in a certain manner. If you seek God about it ask Him to show you He will. Ask Him to correct you when you wear something inappropriate because even dresses and skirts can be immodest.
@@kelleym7623 thank you for your response. I’m wondering if you were convicted to wear long skirts, then would that mean this is Gods preference for women? I’m at the crossroad of figuring this out. We want to walk the way God wants us to. Please keep me in your prayers 🙏
Let me just reassure you, she saw no vision or she made it up in her own mind. Everything that we need to know about God and how He expects us to live our lives is already in the Bible, we need no extra revelations. With that being said I strongly believe the Bible teaches we should wear gender specific clothing, meaning pants on men and skirts and dresses on women. Our clothing should also be modest, meaning no tight fitting or too much cleavage, it needs to cover our nakedness, meaning cover our thighs. Wearing makeup or jewelry is not sinful, as long as is used modestly and not to just get everyone’s attention.
Fundie "modesty" is literally the opposite of modesty as defined in the scriptures. Saint Paul was admonishing his flock not to dress in ways that draw attention to themselves. It's not necessarily talking about exposed skin or accentuated curves. Going around in clothes that would have been considered archaic when the millennial generation's grandparents were children and making a huge display of your false piety is *not modesty.* It's *vanity.*
Well you gotta remember, we are called to be “set apart.” Looking archaic isn’t a good reason to avoid dressing that way, because we will never conform to the world’s standards. As a woman, just by not showing off my cleavage, wearing midi skirts and avoiding designer brands makes me look “archaic” to many in my age group. But is it elegant? YES. Do I wear makeup and other things to adorn myself? YES. It’s simple, elegant and chic looking but doesn’t appeal to the tastes of my generation bc I’m not showing off my assets and wearing transparent clothes. I get judged for it some times. But God knows my heart. I just genuinely feel more pretty covered up, and I show fashion using scarves, lipsticks and interesting jewelry from places I’ve traveled. It’s a HEART issue as the content creator implies, not to be measured by the standards of what the world is doing
@@kelleym7623 I’m sorry sis, I’m not going to allow a book to control what I wear. If I like how it looks on me, then I’m wearing it. You can’t live your life in fear like that. It’s sad.
I really do like your videos and I'll keep watching them but I want to make it clear that I dress in skirts and dresses only because I want to honor God and be separate from how the world dresses. Why? Because that's what God wants and He says it in His word. In other words, God wants us to dress holy so that the world can see the difference in you in a crowd of worldly dressed people. You are supposed to be the light so that people can see Jesus in you. But alot of christians say this is prideful and get it wrong. GBY
Also, girls who dress more righteously are certainly more righteous than those that don't, this should go without saying. It's good to avoid pride, but the truth is the truth. Wearing clothes that don't glorify God is wicked and demonic, and those that don't dress that way deserve some praise, certainly more than others. Sometimes I struggle with false humility too, but we should instead pursue what I call "Righteous profitable honest boast in self" (Which even God does to himself in Isaiah). If you are the best in the world at a sport, pretending to not be should be considered a sin, as you are lying and being dishonest. I have 20 perfect games in bowling so I consider myself to be a good bowler compared to those who don't bowl much. You are a good person compared to the average girl. You are a good female teacher compared to other female teachers.
It’s not pretending or lying, but it’s being humble enough to say “I dress like this to the glory of God” and whoever doesn’t dress like that may be at a different step in their walk or May need to learn more, it’s about giving grace really. And the Bible tells us our praise comes from God, we do not need praise from people telling us we are practicing righteousness.
In that sense yes, dressing modestly glorifies the Lord more than being an exhibitionist. So the way you dress can certainly be more pleasing to Him than another, but righteousness as a whole is not only in clothing. So I don't think we should lose sight of that. To wear modest clothing that matches a modest heart is where the beauty of the Lord is at.
Fashion designer clothing is bad about that. I knew a lady was so high minded about herself talking bout how she buys Jew clothes every year. Spending 500 plus on a pear of shoes. Yes she’s pretty but her personality don’t match her attitude. I’ll stick with the Belk girls least they down to earth with a great personality

Along with Romans 6:1 Also read Hebrews 10:26-38 and then Hebrews 6, I'm just going to say that you should flee from sin bc this can happen, I love yall and don't want anyone go down a destructive road
Amen thank you Jesus I was blessed and put back in the right mind set ready to get dressed with the Lord in mind buying clothes with the Lords opinion in mind, asking myself what would he want like and appreciate this is so fun let all of our ways be dedicated to pleasing him Amen
I keep praying to God everyday to get rid of my pride but it isn't working.
Do you mediate on His Word as well?
Is that _Finding Freedom_ in the background?
It’s Becoming Free Indeed by Jinger Duggar Vuolo🙌🏻
i dont agree parts of it, but the least have our own faith according to him
Amen 🙌
Something else interesting is how the first clothes were a sacrifice, a covering, a representation of Christ's sacrifice
I have a question, what if I think that people are not lusting after your body but your facial beauty, what do I do?
Nothing because it is not your fault.
Just wear what makes you comfortable and confident. Whether that’s shorts and tank top, or a dressing like a nun. Do what you want.
That's not biblical.
@@kelleym7623 I’m sorry sis, I’m not going to allow a book to control what I wear. If I like how it looks on me, then I’m wearing it. You can’t live your life in fear like that. It’s sad.
Amen.
GBY
❤
that’s insane good
I would be glad to have clothes that fit me I'm so embarrassed...
Righteousness is not earned, it's given!!!!
Please make a video on Abortion and why it's a huge sin and that it's not an option for any Christian Woman. Call it "God's Baby, God's Choice."
Make your own video as opposed to telling someone what to make a video on and what to call it.
*promo sm*
Fashion designer clothing is bad about that. I knew a lady was so high minded about herself talking bout how she buys Jew clothes every year. Spending 500 plus on a pear of shoes. Yes she’s pretty but her personality don’t match her attitude. I’ll stick with the Belk girls least they down to earth with a great personality
Amen! I learned a lot from this video 🤍
