I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but the bgm scores and overall cinematography of this scene has a relatable touch to a clockwork orange 1971 by stanley kubrick. The chaos,unpredictability,the tension created by moriarty in this reminds me very much of Alex Delarge's sadistic persona.
I love how they gave Moriarty the Luthor treatment (From pragmatic and stoic evil mastermind to goofball wacky evil mastermind), but here it works perfectly.
One of the best lines run this show, among many - ‘Exactly how many times did he fall out of the window?’. Sherlock fancies himself a sociopath but this is the moment you understood he was just a hard case with a soft spot.
For anyone that didn’t understand the diamond thing, he puts the diamond on the glass since diamonds are one of the strongest metals, uses that diamond as a way of concentrating the energy from this big iron(or whatever metal fire extinguishers use) into this small, tough, concentrated area to break the glass since its probably bulletproof
This might be only me, but "the theiving magpie" by Rossini is literally amazing and without it, this scene wouldn't be nearly as incredible. #amazingsoundtrack
