Three Amazing Days in the Westfjords of Iceland - Road Trip Itinerary

Today we are exploring the Westfjords of Iceland in the northwestern corner of the country. This is a much more isolated pocket of the country compared to the popular southern ring road routes, but it is no less beautiful and a worthwhile detour when planning your Iceland road trip. I promised in your the video to include all of the hard to pronounce destinations listed below, these are in the rest of the description and the chapters below. This should also give you a good idea of the route we traveled.

Were there any supply shops in designated campgrounds in the Westfjords or did you have to pack up everything for the entire roadtrip before entering the area?

Some of the campgrounds are very remote and may not even have a front office. I would not count on being able to get anything at a campground - better to stock up on all you need in Reykjavik when starting out, or in the various towns along the way.

Do you think I can visit the Westfjords with a 2wdrive city car ( Hyundai i10) ?

You can, but it will just be slower than if you have a 4WD. If I was to return I would defintely be driving a 4WD - it just makes the trip faster and easier on some of the dirt roads.

@@taqveerdoha3609 i had a Hyundai i20 (2021). Lets say that the car was 10 cm to low than what It would have been a perfect car for that area..
