@@MUSTANG_DJ_O_ORIGINALdid you ever get dimensions, struggling with wide leg measurements
@@robertcrain2330
I still haven't got it.
I did it by approximation
@@MUSTANG_DJ_O_ORIGINAL Thanks for the rapid response, did it work, you remember what you approximated
I just watched 10 different ways to cut a perfect circle in a piece of plywood. This is by far the fastest, easiest and safest way to get the job done. Thank you
Exactly...no talking...this is like an ASMR. LOL....With a good soundtrack!
This is great. I found another use for myjigsaw.
You could theoretically make this jig for a router which would probably eliminate the notch.
Just a few things to consider here. 1) you need to have a good, straight jig saw which is adjusted spot on perfect, and new blade, otherwise the blade will pull to one side or the other, and screw it all up. 2) this would be better setup to cut in a clockwise circle, as cutting counter clockwise will tend to make the screw in the center back out.... or, use a crew with the top portion having no threads.
Thank you so much for making this tutorial! Really helpful!
A tip for future users; one problem I ran into was the not following of the circle by the jigsaw. The solution was the combination of using a heavier blade and pushing the jigsaw down firmly.
Nice idea, I do my circles using a router the same way. Only problem with the jigsaw is that you're left with a notch in the circle where you drilled for the jigsaw blade, but not with using a router. Going to have to post this on my channel now haha. But still, well done 👍👍
Wow! This is why I love RUclips. There is no way I would have ever known how to do this. Thank you for uploading!
Genius idea! Very simple, practical, inexpensive and easy to do. Kudos to you my friend! Keep on keepin' on!
I could have figured this out on my own ... but it was much easier just watching you show us how! And love the quality of the video ... not a bunch of talking, but showing. Love it. Thanks Mistry MakeTool!!!!
Awesome technique, i will implement by making my drill bit hole under jig saw a little further away from the center of the circle to prevent that defect at the start. Thanks great video!
From Argentina! Huge help from your video! Now I got a happy customer! Thank you!
I thnk this is the simplest way to make a circle cutting tools. very straight forward and can be easily do it at home. Thanks
To make this work without the blade drifting, bending, burning up or breaking. The individual center mark holes, NEED to be lined up with the cutting edge of the blade. Otherwise, the blade will begin to bend as you go along and end up burning it up or breaking the blade, and end up with a non perfect circle that has a beveled edge.
I did this but the blade stilll bended
Thank you for saving me the time to "re-invent' this.... Now to make my circles...
Great video! To keep mine from lifting I used an extra piece of scrap to fit over the metal plate of the jig saw which helps secure it.
Very simple. Very nice.
Very helpful, thanks!
Thank you for making a video of something that is a great tool, and uncomplicated to make. Bravo!
I knew that I need a tool like this, but I didn't knew the best and the simplest way for doing it.
Thanks to your video, I will be able tu cut perfect circles for making my speakers cabinets. Cheers !
Lol i wanna do the same, but im worried that it's not gonna work with a 5" woofer
Awesome. I noticed it's more difficult cutting smaller hols than big ones. great concept.
Voilà une vidéo très instructive.. Merci beaucoup ! ;-)
Great video tip. THANK YOU
Thanks for sharing 🇧🇧 👉🏾 🇨🇦 👍🏽
Simple but great idea..THANKS!
Thankyou! I was thinking of this in my head but couldn’t figure out how to make the actual jig!
It is better to drill your starting hole just outside the circle to get rid of that notch. This is the best jig of this type I have seen. Good job.
Great idea, I made one in just a few minutes. I need to make small circles tho. I tried an 8" circle first and it was too tight, ended up bending the blade. But I bet this works great for larger projects!
My blade made it through half of the cut on a 14" circle and then bent.
Até agora essa foi a melhor ideia que vi para fazer corte circular. Parabéns.
This is so helpful thank you
Worked like a charm. Awesome.

Por Dios Gump. ¡Eres un maldito genio! Gracias.
Plot twist: The starting hole in the beginning was the perfect circle he was referring to
jk, great idea
Yeah, he needed to drill the hole either to the inside or outside of it, depending on whether he wanted a "perfect hole" or a "perfect circle." ;-) I'm looking to cut some perfect "holes" in the good material, so I'll drill the pilot hole to the inside of the line BEFORE I place the jig.
Fantastic idea!!! Thanks!!!
Veramente carina come idea...originale...grazie
awesome videos ,creative
Thanks. I needed to figure this out for a project. I need to cut much smaller holes but this concept will help.

Good job new subscriber here in ph wAtching fr makati city day 86 lockdown very informative d i y thank 4sharing this video gbph
Simple yet efficient. YANK YOU SIR. , Video can be shorter.🎉
Buen trabajo y espectacular pero lo más importante son las medidas del proyecto qué está haciendo sobretodo las dimensiones de los hueco para poder hacer los círculos esperando unas buenas respuesta 👍
I was curious to see how you fixed the hole left by the drill bit after you cut out the circle.
A way to avoid this is by starting at one edge of the plywood or piece of material you are cutting.
Wow un video simple, sencillo y bastante practico. Muchas Gracias.
Nice job
The simplest ideas are always the best. Thanks!
Beautifully presented
Guys like you absolutely amaze me with your inventions
You champion!! Awesome!!😀
Made & used to good effect. Thanks for the time saver.
This deserves a round of applause!
Great advice. Thanks for the video.
great idea, dont care about the small hole you did since this method gets the job done. Thanks
Great jig, thanks for share.... best regards from Tijuana
Awesome! Thank you so very much for this awesome resource! It works like a charm and you are so appreciated. I was able to make a 74 inch circle because of you!
I guess you should start on the edge of the plywood if you want a circle without the little notch where you drilled the starting hold.
Right on dude I was thinking to myself as I was watching this video how far down in the comments I would have to go to see if anyone noticed a little notch in his pre-drill and yours was like the fourth one down I guess I am normal right on man hahaha
Could you mark where the hold you want to start say put a pencil through the blade hole. do a plunge cut to get the first hole place the jig back on wood place the jig saw in and put blade through the plunge hole you made?
You can use a multicutter to avoid the round hole
Although I agree with you, I guess you should learn how to spell. He didn't drill a hold.
He's cutting out a hole. Not making a round piece to use. So the drill hole matters not. Jack asses
nice,good job PATEL
It works as expected
Thanks for taking the time to share your very helpful design.
