If I open a Thai account and use the card to pay (no cash from the ATM), would it still make sense to open a Wise account?

Can I use the Wise card to purchase food and goods like a debit card in Thailand without a Thai bank account. Yes it's possible to use the Wise card like a debit card in Thailand without opening a Thai bank account. Opening one up is for those who need access to physical Thai cash.
But if you plan on just using for purchases like a debit card on your 15 day trip here, using your wise card would be the great choice. The only fee you'd incur is the conversion fee from your home currency to Thai baht on the wise app. The fee is minimal.
