I am having trouble with the plugin...I have godaddy linux. The email account is under an MS365 account with godaddy. I've tried several settings but it generates the same error everytime. Typically this error is returned for one of the following reasons: Plugin settings are incorrect (wrong SMTP settings, invalid Mailer configuration, etc). Your web server is blocking the connection. Your host is rejecting the connection.
any error? did you receive test email after installing the smtp plugin? if not then you can get in touch with hosting service provider and make sure that mail server is working properly.

clearly it is issue with the mail server from hosting services. You need to get in touch with hosting service provider to fix the issue.
