How close does this come to a prerecorded? How can you have a "sort of a live performance?" How live are any DJ mixes these days? Just `pressing the sync button, that´s computer generated, nothing absolutely live. DJ´s today are so scared about doing a mistake they will not risk vinyl.

But yeah, it looks to be pre-programmed with access to the stem data. He is adding melody on his keyboard. So a simple version of the live performance, not to the level of GO Live, Brechja, or Kalbrenner who build the tracks up almost from scratch. I only commented b/c I've never seen a set quite like this. But I have mad respect for Roger Shah, not criticizing in any way.

I have no idea how Kalbrenner works. For all we know it´s just as much prerecorded! You have to have great trust in any of these DJ´s nowdays.

Many of these EDM DJ´s "Chainsmokers" (who I had never heard of before today & Timmy Trumpet, all look to be doing no more than playback I see Shah, is playing the keyboard, so it´s taking DJíng to a different level but does the crowd notice? The thing I would like to see from many (real) trance DJ´s is to mash it up a bit, play some really hard stuff & perhaps incorporate some techno. Bring the hard, uplifting & techno together.
