Nice guide and good lap. I’ll see if if I can incorporate some these braking points and apexes. But now back to building my Rig Metal frame so I can mount my new Simagic Ultimate on something a little sturdier.
Without seeing what you're doing I can't say for sure, it could be a few things. Could be that you're getting to 80% too quickly or holding it too long. You kind of have to squeeze it, not get there slow but not super abruptly, it's hard to describe. You also have to come off it somewhat quickly dropping by a couple percent as the car slows. The other couple things could be that you need to be doing it in a straight line, and have to be going fast enough. Those are the things that I can think of.
Thank you for the guide, Josh. No complaints about the sound from my end.
Thanks, I had to re-record all the parts where I was talking. The original takes the noise gate cut out about half of what I was saying.
Great walkthrough! Is this fixed or open setup?
It is a fixed setup, with the brake bias set to the back two clicks.

Congrats on the new rig! Hope the new gear is working out.
I am new to iracing. How can you brake to 80%. Getting lock ups at aroung 70.
