Can’t tell you how happy I was to see B&Q and hear your accent! Finally someone U.K. based!
girl you don't even know for how long i've been wanting to buy one of these mirrors now imma deffo try and recreate it!!!
Same!! So glad I did it and saved some £££
It looks fantastic, you deserve every pat in the back for making such a neat diy!
Thank you!! :)
Smart girl! I was waiting for you not to paint the back of mdf and see that it was reflected in the mirror but you proved me wrong!
Good job and with almost no tools, it was impressive to see you saw the wood. You can be proud, Happy new years !
Thank you! :)
I’ve seen someone make something similar out of dollar tree mirrors and plywood! But this was just as cute! 👌🏾❤️
Wow! I have to say FANTASTIC JOB! And the plastic underneath when gluing all the pieces together- when I saw that I had one of those “wow I feel ridiculously stupid, why didn’t I think of that moments” 😂 But hey, I think we have all been there! Your mirror looks FANTASTIC & I will say, better than ANY I have seen in the stores!
What I absolutely love is you thought of everything, from plastic to how the little boards should lay so they look professional - that’s impressive planning!
I’m new here & just subscribed! Thank you for sharing! I really enjoyed watching this! Great job!
Hahaha thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed :) xx
Imagine 3 of these in a row!! AHHHH THAT"D BE GORGEOUS! Thank you for sharing!!!
Wow! Love how this mirror turned out. You’re creative process was really fun to watch and completely relatable.
Hey do you ever do Interior design for properties feel like you would be really good at it...?
Nope only for my own apartment!
Looks so beautiful! And I thought the last part when you decided to spread out the glue on your grid was so smart! You were talking about how you came so far and nothing had gone wrong....that’s where it would have gone wrong for me!!!! Hahaha...I would had just flipped it over and pressed it onto the mirror oozing the glue out the sides and cursing at myself for being so stupid!! But this was so amazing! LOVE all the greenery in the space!
Hahahaha I almost didn’t spread it! I had to stop myself 🤣 thanks so much! Xx
Vanessa, your honesty is amazing, the way you shared the mistakes bit as well. Thank you for a great video.
Glad you appreciate that!! I have no experience so had to keep it as real as possible 😝 thanks for watching!
Great job thinking to paint the side that touches the mirror... most people don’t think to do this! Also, love love love your hair.
I know that would’ve annoyed me seeing wood in the reflection! Aww thank you! 😌
this is amazing we are proud of you!
hahaha so cute watching her put all kinda stuff to press the frame down
very inspired
Great idea with the plastic sheet on the mirror. Simple and even better free
Best one ive seen so far! Might actually do this!!
Aww thank you!
Bought the mirror and definitely recreating! What MDF moulding did you buy from B&Q though!? Did you consider spray painting it rather than painting and I think the store can cut it down to size for free
finally abritish diy youtuber... love all DIY youtubers but here I can relate to the £ lol
Lol! And here I was frustrated at all the centimeter talk 😁
@@FLdancer00 lol
Good stuff, my making of one similar size a lot cheaper. Mirror panels eBay x 9 = £36. Wood 2400mm x3= £9 (Wickes) MDF PANEL £13, Paint £8 b & m. Already had the glue lol.
you go girl! I was thinking about a simple way to create one of these mirrors and this is by far the best way possible!! thanks a lot for sharing
Wow looks so good. Yes you should be proud of yourself.
Hey vannessa I love u some much... Ur such an amazing inspiration to not only me but many other ppl... I want to be like u when I grow up... Ps*I'm saving up to buy clothes from ur brand... I can not tell u how much I love it have a great day✨😘❤️
I’m trying to work out which mirror it is on the website, which one is it? 😊
Omg i have been looking for that black metal chair for so long’ where is it from?
Also looking for that chair, did you find where its from?
@@MrSanjuarez Yes i did, It's from an old ikea collection called järpen
Girl, you need to take custom orders and sell on Etsy! Love it!!
Oooo girl this took me a couple days still 🤣
This is brilliant! I need this in my living room.💕
Thank you for this! Wanted one of these for ages but they are so expensive. Looks stunning xxx
This look amazing! I'm totally going to recreate. It's exactly the focal piece I was looking for in my future interior basement design!
Fantastic! I am in Houston, TX. This will save me a fortune! Thank you!
This is insane. You have done such an amazing job well done xx. Your home is beautiful by the way xx
I’ve built two of these using mdf board as a back and Ikea Lots mirrors with thin wood strips between them.
That would make a hellaofa coffee table
oooo could be a vibe 😏
Omg ! It's absolutely gorgeous !! Great job girl !!
Looks great well done. Sometimes the best creations come from just free styling without too many plans
Exactly! When I plan things it all goes wrong haha
Looks stunning!! I don’t know why the mirror looked small on the ground. But huge when you stood it up. Either way excellent work.
Oh yeah! Thank you :)
One of the best diy mirror project iv viewd looks amazing will be having ago
This is such a great idea!!
Oh my GOOOD!!!! Thank you SOOO much for making this video😭 100% trying this tomorrow!!!❤️
You are a diy princess. Very good work and looks beautiful
This is incredibly dope. Thanks for sharing, Vanessa
I love DIY UPCYCLE, in havent done anything since last year September.
An I love this, well done ❤️
This is genius ,,,was just about to pay £190 from insta boutique so glad i found this👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Yesss! Glad it’s helpful :)
Definitely worth all that effort, it looks great! You should invest in a better saw/cutting table though! Well done!
This was a great project and beautiful accent for any walkway or entrance
Great work! Looks so clean and industrial. I love it!!
You had me absolutely HOWLING at bits of this! You having to ‘finesse the system’ to buy a hacksaw cos youre 24 and the fucking random chunk of mdf on the mirror were particular highlights 😂😂
Hahahaa the mdf stresses me out I see it everyday 🤣
Looks really sleek! Thanks for this great tutorial.
Looks awesome 👏🏼 I love it!!! 😍
Beautiful! Can I ask what size thickened are the mdf boards ?
This was perfect! Love how you explain it very well, I’ not a English native speaker but I understood. Just sorry because I’m my city (coast of Rio de Janeiro) mirrors are really expensive
Awww that’s great to hear! Thanks for watching :)
It looks amazing!!! I'm gonna make one using the same technique for my new house. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to wait about a year for the house to be ready... Hahaha
Thank you for sharing this have been so helpful.😍 I need to DIY a mirror for my living room 🙏🏾
This is exactly what I was looking for. 😊♥️
I immediately knew you were from the UK when I saw B&Q
WOW it turned out great
really pretty! good job!!
Your nailcolor is beautyful 👌🏽
Another idea: I would have nailed the grid to the frame instead of gluing it to the mirror. This way you can eventually change its look without much problem!!
well done looks great
This is amazingggg, I want to make my own now!
Wow you did a fab job👍👍👍 looks so good.
This looks so good! 😀
Also b&q have a cutting sectio & can cut for free for you so if you need MDF cut into pieces they can do it once you have measurements and dont need a saw then :)
This is so good!! Thank you for sharing!!
Looks amazing! Well done 😍
Hey girl, so i’m coming here asking for ur HELP!! If you can make this then i believe in you, butttt can you do a diy moon mirror?? Have you seen them? Like they’re a crescent moon on the side of a circular mirror but it’s puffy and realistic with craters and everything. But if not then i still love your work, honestly never found anyone as crafty as you!!
Thanks for this tutorial! I loved it!
You gotta use millimetres when making something. Don't measure in centimetres. Every millimetre counts.
Nah I did decimals to the mm which is the same thing!
Seeing you at IKEA right now makes me sad. I miss this
Math... Little bitc length= lengh of shorter side of mirror - (width of big pieces times 2):devided with 3 (since you choose to have 3 short bits) and that's it.. I would say you forgot to count that you have 2 long pieces that are so and so in depth.
But.. But... but the piece is gorgeous🤩🤩 and from one woman to another... We learn from mistakes, right😉. Happy New year 😊
Yeah I think that’s what went wrong although I thought I included it! Oh well we got there in the end 😏
@@vanessa-d and it's gorgeous 👍
I love it! 😍
Great work looks amazing
fabulous, girl! i love it!
This is such a clever idea and it looks really nice. :)

Where to did you get the plastic sheet from x
I'm guna give this a try, looks fab and reasonably priced :)
Do it! X
Thanks for sharing!
great idea
Love it! Well done!!
Whoa... age requirement to buy a saw? Interesting. Why?
I know!! Think it might just be in B&Q lol
mah6183 because children shouldn’t be able to just walk into a shop and buy a saw!
@@leanneroost4883 24 years old = child? 🤔
@@leanneroost4883 you'll find no small number of American men in their 40s or 50s, and older who were using a saw for all sorts of projects as early as 12 years old. I wouldn't put an electric saw in the hands of some one under 16, but a hand saw, sure. In fact, I was showing my four-year-old grandson how to use a saw just the other day. Familiarity with hand tools is a very important skill. If you don't learn young, you will be more dangerous with it when you get older... Like 25! ☺
I work in B&Q and most stores have a Challenge 25 policy and if you look under that age you will be asked for ID, even if you are just browsing the knife section. Also there are tester pots for that paint, you didn't need to buy a full size tin!!
I love it.
Beautifully done👍
This is freakn brilliant I’m definitely subscribing
Thanks so much!!
Love this DIY!!!
Love how it turned out! Good job :D
Thanks so much!!
This is so amazing youa re so amazing wow
I Love this!!! You did an Amazing job. What thickness did you use for the MDF strip wood. I just ordered the mirror ❤️
Wow, it looks great👍🏻😃❤
Heey..that's amazing. ❤ can't wait to recreate it 😁 could u tell me please what is the width (in cm) of the strips that u used?
"touch wood! touch wood! TOUCH MDF! TOUCH MDF!" :D
