Great review. You touched on storage but I would be interested in how much storage
before having to install a micro sd card or pay for cloud storage. BTW congrats on
surviving colon cancer. I had a diagnosis of a Leukemia and am now 6 months
without any detectable disease.
You’d want to use a micro SD Card with this camera.
Congrats to you also! Hopefully we can both ride these waves of being disease free for many many years to come.

Regarding the solar portion of this camera, in your opinion, would bright but indirect sun exposure be enough to power the camera? I'm thinking of mounting under the eave of our south facing roof. We live in Florida, so there's plenty of sunlight, but I'd like a little eave protection from the elements and it would look cleaner, installation-wise.

Hey George! Just found your channel and enjoyed your review. I'm a fan now of ReoLink too! It came down to the ReoLink Duo 2 Wifi or the Lorex 4K Dual-lens Wifi Camera. The difference for me was how fast the ReoLink app works. However, the Lorex is a solidly built camera with a better 180º image stitch. Would you consider doing a review of it on your channel in the future? Thanks!! :)

I would try to get the solar panel outside the carport.
Does this camera offer continuous recording or is it limited to motion sense recording only?
It’s event recording only. You’re not typically going to find 24/7 recording in a battery camera.
What outdoor WiFi cam has the longest range from the WiFi router? Might make a great video to test…
Great suggestion, but not as easy as it seems. It would be very difficult to verify results with any precision.
I was here yesterday. I already deleted it. I was just asking if there’s a REOLINK camera similar to this one in your video that’s a little more discreet that I could put on the side of my house so I could see a pan of 150 feet front to back?
& just trying to decide if I want the Nest doorbell cam or the REOLINK doorbell camera?
I’m moving my personal residence & I’ve had very little time to check my comments. So somehow I missed it. You’re not going to find a camera that gets that type of angle that’s more discrete than this one.
I’d pick Reolink over Nest.
Can you disable the light that comes on when the camera is operating?
Yes you can.
Can a phone hotspot work for their wifi connection?
No. You need a stable 2.4ghz or 5.0ghz connection.
Maybe this is a stupid question,but does it record 24-7 to sd card?
No, it's to save battery life. If you want 24/7, you need one that has power.

Is there a powered version of this device?
You can technically power this device with the right power supply, but this model is technically made to be a battery or solar camera. There is not an official “wired” version.
