For comping. Don’t play many roots and mix up the rhythm patterns. Make sure your phrases aren’t too predictable on the soloing. Melodic but not predictable.

Thank you for asking. Unfortunately My teaching schedule is full but I will be doing some seminars in Tokyo. Dec 15th at Yamano Gakki in Ginza. And another one in January.
This one was part improvised and part arranged. I didn’t notate everything. Just loosely decided on the rhythm, chords and form and just went for it. Sometimes I practice for weeks and sometimes I do it all in a couple of hours.
