      @@samerzain6153 It was likely for perceived leverage. While both sides played those games, the Soviets always seemed to go for the gusto lol. It added mystique and made it seem like only THEY really knew the truth. Same thing with the Romanovs. All imho of course, because nothing can be proven now. It just makes more sense to me that all of the survivors from that bunker, who at that point didn’t need to protect anyone, and who told the same story, were right. It’s all fascinating, though!

      Denial for what? He was a soldier, got wounded and was sent to Hitler's entourage as a telephonist until the end. Captured by the Russians, tortured to the point of trying to kill himself and only released after Stalin died.

    • @Mynamesjeff2818_2
      @Mynamesjeff2818_2 2 года назад

      I’m just gonna say this. He didn’t know the exact details of the Holocaust until after the war in 1953 following his release from soviet labor camps and interrogation. Hitler didn’t discuss it with him, and he was never present in the rooms when Hitler was discussing it. The papers he ran to and from were enclosed documents he didn’t read much less he risk execution. The only mention of camps he read was when the Red Cross visited one for political rivals and deemed it good conditions for a prison.

      @Flow 95 so? on what base would you judge him and put him to prison? just your moral feelings? according to noam chomsky every american president after the war would have deserved the death sentence on nuremberg trial principles, so maybe you start there instead of accusing telephonists who just happen to work in hitler entourage.
