I love the GT body. I've got a GT UA, and unfortunately, I didn't get it with the ES-2. There is a 4th release from them for 2022, but it is a limited release 611e, another GT body. Love your videos, and really like the sample piece that you played for each of the 3 guitars.

That’s a lovely little arrangement. Still trying to figure it out note for note … when you play those descending notes over the G - interesting there’s a c# in there (my music theory isn’t strong enough to explain why that works, as you head into a C chord).
Hi Baxter. I really like your approach to introductions. No hype no wow no the best guitar ever BS as you find most everywhere else. Would you care to pass on some feedback to Taylor? As the owner of 8 Taylor guitars acquired over 20 years, I would never buy any guitar with a cheap looking matte/satin finish. I know it’s trendy and I have seen some BS that this finish is harder to do than gloss from another maker that starts with G. Anyone who has ever done any cabinetry knows that a nice gloss finish is much more work. A satin finish costs less with no price drop and makes the guitar look cheap. Maybe no one else cares but makers are maximizing profits without delivering any actual value for the extra cost. Be well

@@DrFearCo Had to rewatch. Yes, beautiful flames on sides. Maybe they just don't show up that well on the top.
I looked at the picture on another site and the other picture looks like maple. The one Baxter is holding looks more like the spruce top of the 717 model.
Gte mahogany for me. Understated and great sound.
goals for 2022 go in a direction to be able to play like baxter. Funny thing, is I read about Taylors vs Martins and thought they were mainly the same just tonewise they were different.. My first guitar was a Epi acoustic, then that was taken back by its owner, then I got a metal resonator, which I thought was lame but then realized it's actually cool and unique both looks an tonewise. I want a regular acoustic, so I went to a major acoustic dealer but they are martin only (well and gibson), but after playing through guitars in my price range, turns out I kept reaching for the two used taylors (just out of my price range). They couldn't give me deal on any of the taylors (consignment) so I checked out a local taylor dealer and turns out the 1300 USD ish taylor plays like those used one. The martins and taylors actually are different feel wise (and of course tonewise) and I kind of gravitate to taylor, so I'll be getting one.
Nice Guitars but set on my Acoustics between my 1965 Gibson Dove or my 80's Yairi-Alvarez Dy51 I am pretty good, use Fishman Tone Deq if into Electric amp or SWR California Blode Amp & powered Monitor

Nice review, planning on getting a Taylor sometime soon...I would never ever consider covering the beauty of acoustic wood grain with a matte black finish, to me it's ugly.

Love Taylors - just wish they were a quarter of the price....... Just can't justify spending 1800 bucks on an acoustic. Never played a Taylor(or Martin- or National) I didn't like though.
what would be your "go-to" acoustic for $800 or less? Mini?

I have a Taylor Academy 12e. Great guitar. I may sell a kidney or one of my children to get an American made Taylor.
I find black to be pretty bland and ugly on electric guitars, but for some reason, it’s irresistibly sexy on acoustics imo. I might trade my old 210e in for one of the blacktops - still deciding which one

What I am really wishing for is Guild to make an American-made version of the OM 120. I love the M-20, but want a larger body...
