Videos for older women who fell in love with the style on how to style these are a lifesaver for those of us who love the style but want to pull it off in a casual and age appropriate way. I fell in love with Japanese style back in 2001 when we had an exchange student in H.S. still have the magazines she gave me. It's nice to pass these onto my tween who is obsessed with all things Japanese.
The way I discovered Himekaji was the same as you! I was sooo in love with lolita but at the moment of using it... it was... too much for me? The commitment of wearing lolita is a serious one. Then himekaji appeared and it was a saviour from the heavens. (Even I had some pieces in my closet that looked similar to the new himekaji style).
Old school Himekaji and Hime-Gyaru are so much fun to me aesthetically aaaahhh!!!! I do want to try it sometime. I'm a lolita and my "casual style" leans more otome, but I rly do wanna try himekaji and learn more abt gyaru as a fashion and subculture for sure!
honestly if i made a clothing store, id put all the i guess 'generic' stuff in the front, and then in the back where the checkout is all the styles you could imagine..gyaru , lolita, gothic, punk, maybe i'd just add all jfashion types cause i love all types of fashion. haha it'd be called asriel angel
How do you make heels comfortable says the person and I say right at the same time as you did: you don't. LMAO. This is a really detailed video and you did such a good job with the details hun.
Heels aren't confortable ahahah! I think Lizzie says right we always put shoes for photo xD Except one of my friend Vani. She is often wear heel I am so impress 😍😍 And Emii xD
Now I know about Himekaji. I'd like to see somebody do a video like this on Rokku gyaru as I'm completely lost in my direction to the style. Sadly, there's no rokku gals on RUclips and the substyle is an endangered species online.
Love this video! I share your idea that himekaji evolve with years but gyaru is dead in japan so it's normal but I always love both even if original style is my favorite because girls look so cute, smile and "woman". Current style is more larme and kawaii. If you look for "himekaji brand" there aren't but at NafNaf or shein there are some items which look so himekaji. I think mixed japanese and occidental brand could be nice 😊 For exemple at Jennyfer I find a perfect high jeans which could be mixed for bohemian/western look, or naf naf have frill top. If I had a question I think it would be how to wear himekaji with make up outside? 😭 Because even if make up is really important I think it's quite complicated as gyaru make up. Maybe it explain why lot of Himekaji girls didn't wear it. Then, It's a part of self confidence and dare to be the real you without thinking of people opinion.. And not being lazy to make up 😂 (my first problem) Can't wait to see your future video ♡ xoxo
Yessss I do love it when local brands release himekaji-esque items! I always keep a look out during spring for when people bring out neutral shades and floral prints. In regards to the makeup - I feel like with himekaji you can get away with wearing more toned down makeup. So maybe not as much eyeliner on the bottom! If you like, I can share a tutorial that I did with you 💖💖
I was wondering if you need to use lashes for the make? I use mascara and it makes my lashes look good but idk if my makeup is considered gal without them?

Himekaji was what made me fall in love with Jfashion and Gyaru when I first went to Japan in 2012 and my friend introduced me to Liz Lisa
Liz Lisa is one of the most beautiful brands ever and I'm so glad that they've kept on going
