    To me the gyaru life has also a very..idk "psychological" benefit???
    Like the whole get wild be sexy, dont be ashamed of being sexy and all that jazz really helped me! Also that having many clothes, fancy makeup nails and hair doesnt mean you're "dumb" and superficial
    Gyaru thought me this! So even though i am a gal only since like august i feel like it has brought many many good things in my life

    Not me sat here going “waah not sure if I live a gal life” and then you mention me and I’m like “oh, yeah, I do actually do that” 😂😂😂 Thank you so much for this video!!! I beat myself up about not having a gal lifestyle but watching this I was like...if you look around my room, you probably wouldn’t be surprised it belonged to a gal. Same for my music playlists, or even when I worked in an office I had Rilakkuma stationery and purikura up! I feel like if you like gal your life is probably gal in ways you don’t even notice! A really really good video, I love hearing your opinions 💕💕💕

      Don't worry, about a year ago I was feeling a bit down and had those exact thoughts and it wasn't until I sat down and started to think of how me and my local friends were SO different made me realise just how much gyaru has influenced my every day life!
      And yes, even things like the music you listen to and the stationery you have is super gal! Esp purikura! And mustn't forget that you do parapara as well 💖💖💖
      Thank you so so much for watching 💖

    Omg I didn't know you were aware of the goth subculture. So many people tend to misconstrue it like how they do with the gyaru subculture! What you were saying was actually really accurate lmao we love to surround ourselves with our music, films, aesthetic etc. 🖤🖤
    I'm getting into gyaru rn because I feel like it expresses the other aspects of my life that I love. Why limit myself to one subculture, ya know? 💕💕

      Aaaah thank you, I'm glad that I was able to say it accurately because I was getting worried that I might've said everything wrong 😂 so that's a relief! 💖💖
      Yessssss exactly! Plus, there is gyaru gosshiku (I think that's what it's called) or gyaru rokku which mixes gyaru and rock elements! 💖

    I ADORE Super! Gals! that manga is hilarious.
    Akko (maybe all main characters) from Girlfriends (by Milk Morinaga) are gyaru to me. The manga itself has a lot of gyaru energy, I highly recommend it.

    I always feel like Girl's Life is the Kamikaze Girls for gyaru 😋 the acting is pretty terrible, but its also such a piece of fashion history?! I loved it so much! I sometimes think like my lifestyle doesn't fit one category at all, even when I was a little goth kid I don't know that I had a goth lifestyle, but then again I haven't changed a lot 😂 Listen to metal, love vampires, but also love anime and videogames, and that's maybe all I do on a day to day basis is watch anime and play games 😂 but I have a big collection of gal mags, I watched all of Super Gals, I watched Girl's Life, I love para para, I have too much makeup, I love flashy things, having cute PJs/roomwear, still having loads of plushies, and love collecting old gal brand pieces for my wardrobe 💖 taking purikura and visiting 109 is always a must for me when I've been to Tokyo too > w< I guess I'm a vampire otaku gyaru 😂

      YES OMG. Like, it's so bad, but everyone has watched it at least once in their lives 😂 And I absolutely love that!!! That sounds like the perfect lifestyle for a rokku gal tbh!

And pinkii and I always try to learn more stuff about the style and the culture. Before the fashion I was just dressing "cute" and "kawaii" but after gyaru I felt that I belonged somewhere and it is a wonderful journey although were I live no one dresses gal but it's ok 💗 thank you for this vid lizzie 💗💗🎀

      Aaah thank you my darling! I'm really obsessed with big curly hair at the moment hahaha.
      But yes I totally agree! It's definitely all down to overthinking, which is why I wanted to create this video to show that there are other things that contribute to the gyaru lifestyle.
      I used to looooove livejournal so much!
      Thank you my bby 💖💖

    I've always been visual kei but always loved gyaru too and had tons of gyaru friends so I spent a lot of time discussing it with them and even getting styled by them occasionally. I found your channel the other day and was so happily surprised, cause I didn't realize there was still dedicated gyaru around, and I've been really miffed to see it fade past few years.
    I am so glad to see it's still kicking and that it's still enjoyed, it's always had a special spot in my heart. There's something powerful I think with being very feminine in a world that deems it "childish" or "vain", and to brighten up even the small things in your life with cuteness ❤️

    This made me really happy because I do a lot of the things you mentioned, lol. I’m still very early in my journey and haven’t fully committed yet (I’m chronically ill so full on gyaru inspired looks are only for higher energy days, maybe once or twice a month). Your videos really make it feel less daunting and more accessible, and someday I hope to immerse myself much more in gyaru.
    I’m not sure if you’ve covered this, but do you have any tips on still looking gyaru while being super pale? I tried fake tanning for a while but it’s not something I can maintain. I would love to see how paler gyaru do their makeup too, if they’re out there :-(

    • @HelloLizzieBee
      @HelloLizzieBee  4 года назад +6

      Hey cutie! Awh yay that's so good to hear! I think the main reason I wanted to do this video was to show that gyaru is so much more about the clothes and makeup and hair - but also the lifestyle! I can't wait to see your gyaru journey!
      Eeerm unfortunately I don't really have any advice for that because I myself aren't that pale... But there are quite a lot of pale gals out there! One of my friends, Darla, also has a RUclips channel "Toxic Tsukino" so you should check her out!

    • @EllenPenelo
      @EllenPenelo 4 года назад +4

      Hey! I'm a gyaru with a lot of conditions that makes it hard for me to get dressed, do makeup etc everyday and I'm also really pale! I recommend looking at rokku gyaru, Amekaji, and agejo as the makeup is easier to incorporate with paler skin (but all look good if you wanna tan too!). Making sure your contour is the right colour for your skin as a must too! We can still contour kinda heavy to emphasise the gal look 😊 feels a bit weird to self promo, but my insta is @x_penelo_x 💖 also Ari is a pale gyaru (insta @ari_blair_ghoul) as is Lea (insta @leasoneegyarulife), I'm not sure if she considers herself gyaru anymore, but Jojo's makeup is always gorgeous too (insta @evilchocobunny), Sara is a disabled pale gyaru and looks amazing (insta @sarajsweetheart) and they're just a handful of the people I can think of off the top of my head 😊 I hope that helps you!! 💖💖💖

    Lizzie, you are my fashion inspiration! 💗 I have recently tried to find old looks of yours and I love them ! I love himekaji fashion but I also love y2k fashion (early 2000’s) but I dont know which style to go with 🥺 I think I will just incorporate both into my life 😌 anyways, I aspire to express myself through clothing the way you do 🍒🌸

      Omg you are so sweet, thank you so much! 💖 And you don't have to limit yourself to a set style - I spent years being a gyaru chameleon and that's perfectly fine. I can't wait to see your gyaru journey! 🥰
