The biggest improvement in the 49ers was the introduction of McCaffrey, this guy is amazing.
funny how the panthers didn't know how to use him properly. one month with the niners, he's caught a TD, thrown a TD and run for TD. coaching means a lot
@MGTOW-Balance dude ran for 1k and had 1k receiving. Third player all time to do so since , behind Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk. Pretty sure they used him how he wanted to be used early in his career. He got paid, he set records .
@MGTOW-Balance he actually played better in carolina but mainly because he had more touches. I'm panther fan and he's my favorite player he's better suited for you guys. But the scenario with you guys right now with the qb and other injuries would worry me. It's easy to over use him and get him hurt. His injuries were never bad like people made them out to be he's just hard to take off feild. On most teams he's the best blocker, wr and rb. Lol the 2nd kettle td I watched 4 guys go after cmac and just leave kettle alone. Glad he's having fun and showing out for sf. My opinon he's a hof player if he can be healthy

Brock Purdey continues to impress…..no deer in the headlights look on pass rushes….no stupid mistakes leading to fumbles and interceptions. He’s calm and composed…..and playing like a 2nd or 3rd year veteran. Anything but a rookie and the last player taken in the draft. We struck gold with him. So happy for this young man. GO NINERS.

I've never seen a rookie handle the blitz with confidence that Brock Purdy does. This kid has so many intangible skills. From his leadership, quick reads to confidence. What a great young athlete
Great just to watch his eyes, too. Week after week the big plays have come after he looked off 2 or 3 of the receivers while going through his progression. Most rookies (and many vets) get locked in on the primary receiver.

Brett Favre pulled the same great double fake screen play on us (49ers) in the 1995 Divisional Playoff. Same play. I just watched the game a few nights ago - here on YT. Favre was possibly at his peak in that game - a real rough & tumble one. When I saw Brock Purdy do it I instantly thought Kyle and his offensive coaches pulled that play from that '95 game.
Truly impressive how the 49ers win 7 straight despite all the injuries. Defense was the answer once again!

I am very impressed with how Purdy has played and especially his pocket awareness. This kid is playing very well so far.

Geno Smith was playing very well at one point too.
Brock Purdy’s IQ is unbelievable. He knows how to read the defense and read his options like a veteran. But seriously though, gotta give props to his O-line for protecting him in the pocket which gives him time to make great throws. Love seeing my Niners succeed in victory! 🏈🙌🏼

The Offensive line is so crucial and just like defense, can literally win games if they give a Quarterback the time to complete passes or escape the pocket.
Pretty dumb to slide before the first down late in the game when you could put your head down and get the first down for real. He was only out done in stupidity by the braindead refs who missed the call because he was short. Niners are lost without Jimmy.

What makes them dangerous is that Purdy can run like a running back, like in the previous game, where he ran 10 yards for a TD. That's what the elite QBs like Mahomes, Jackson and Allen can do.

Purdy is nice at slinging the pigskin and CMC is a freak athlete, excited to see what the future holds for them esp with a whole off season etc to work on their own schemes and plays. But for now they're electric to watch & make it obvious why football is so fun to watch

Kids seriously talented, hope the 49s are able to hold onto him for next year so him and kittle, CMC etc have the whole off season to come up with their own plays, schemes that cater to their style and type of plating. What's different about Purdy is he isn't afraid to throw deeper downfield, like 30-40 yards. He is also very accurate, leading receivers well and putting the ball where it''s catchable.
Garoppolo isn't afraid to throw those. He's just one of the best quick pass qbs in the nfl, so he doesn't have to. Football is about scoring in most efficient was possible. Jimmy doesn't have to throw it 40+ yards because of his yac weapons and his lightning fast release. Plus, Shanahan doesn't let jimmy throw those passes, and yet, for some reason, he lets Purdy. I like Purdy and I'm glad he's playing and not lance, but garoppolo is our best shot at winning it all this year.
That is, if garoppolo can come back from injury in time for the post season, which I hope he does.

Brock Purdy has really impressed me so far. The 255th pick in the draft is playing with so much confidence and poise for a rookie. He might be the next Tom Brady if he continues to improve upon his play
Despite his instant winning, it actually took Brady a few years to be really good. Perhaps, this kid can ease into rhythm much faster.
I’ve never really watched football before. Grew up playing soccer my whole life but the other day I turned on the TV and the niners game was about to start and I heard Purdy’s story and since he was playing Brady I had to watch and wow I was stunned! Going to continue to watch him but definitely not considering myself a fan yet haha congrats 49ers!

Wow Purdy is quite accurate with his throws for a "rookie " . Looks like he's played for many years. Impressive, very talented guy lucky we got him and pure chance we got to see his talents this year. The guys on the team all seem fond of him already. If he plays like this a couple more times we would be fools to use someone else as our starter next year. Use the other guys as backups. This year demonstrated that it's a good idea to have 2 backup quarterbacks.
Crazy to think he was third string and might not have played for several years. Makes you wonder why Shanahan didn't consider starting him. Was he not outshining the other QBs in preseason?

Between Purdy's performance and Trey being very prone to getting himself seriously hurt though, Shanahan may have no choice but to forget about Trey going forward and have Purdy start with Jimmy as the backup...
Nah he won't pan out, he's a really low draft pick. Just kidding. My Patriots got lucky with a sixth round pick who wasn't fast or super strong and he turned out to be Tom Effing Brady who won 7 rings, 6 for us. No one saw it coming. So your Niners got this kid who nobody thought could actually play and it already looks like he's pretty darn good. Calm, makes quick reads, already very accurate with the short throws and not too bad with the medium ranged throws. Not going to anoint him another Pat Mahomes yet but he sure seems good under pressure. Good luck to you guys. It would be fun as hell to find a 7th rounder QB who can prove all the experts wrong.

It only seems that way because you buy into the narrative. It seems that way to you because Shanahan lets purdy thriw it more for some reason. Purdy is good (I think he's better than lance) but jimmy g is better, especially with the year he was having. Plus, Purdy threw the ball right into the Seahawks hands and it was only that players stupidity that prevented the interception.

@@AdderTude I won’t lie… I haven’t watched a single game of his, just highlights. I don’t get the hype. He doesn’t make a single difficult throw in any highlight I’ve seen. The offense is ran simple and smooth and brings the defense forward with a good run game. I haven’t seen him look really all that accurate, seems to throw the ball in a middle tier velocity range. His form is below average and creates inconsistency. He’s on a top 4 team in the league that knows how to run an offense with an average to even below that QB. How far off am I? Has really anyone seen anything to say otherwise? I have a limited scope of it.

@@piercewierschem2906 I respect that idea. I don’t think his velocity and form issues will ever drastically change. But I do agree his decision making and football IQ has a higher ceiling that his physical attributes. A lot of comparisons to Brady… difference is brady is a big dude, and even as an old man has competitive ball velocity compared to others leading that in the league.
McCaffery is such a great addition to this team. They're a scary team with that defense too
Interesting that they didn’t include the absurd roughing call on Bosa that took a pick-6 off the board. It was probably the single biggest score swing in the game and the main reason the game even felt close at the end.
I mean that Homer fumble at the end of the 2nd really to me was the nail in the coffin.

@@michaelgarcia2537 its arguable...but if you recall, the fumble turned into points at the end of the half so the hawks couldnt respond with a possession because 9ers got the ball at the start of the 3rd. It crushed any early game momentum we could have attained from the drive potential and then they had to sit with that bad taste in their mouth through all of halftime. OUCH. Pick six would be those same points on the board, but a quick turn around and the offense gets the ball back with very little game time lost.
I'm a Seahawk fan, but I have slowly become more and more of a Brock Prudy fan. I hate to see my team lose but have to give him his props.

Refs tried to rob the Niners on national TV, but the defense had other plans. This team went from 3-4 to 10-4 with the #3 seed AND the NFC West clinched.

As a niners fan I’m thankful for everything and everyone BUT MAN, You can’t tell me this is one of the best and most yet aggressive defenses you’ve seen since the LOB? I mean even if it’s just a tackle it’s a HARD tackle. It’s like watching Poetry in motion.
Ehh, it's good but not great. The reason they're holding opponents to low points is mainly because of their pass rush. The other parts of the defense aren't that good, but because the pass rush is overwhelming, the run stopping gets a benefit too and of course pass coverage. The LOB was a complete defense from top to bottom. Broncos defense 2015, Panthers defense from 2015, and LOB 2013 were all much better defenses.

How does Purdy even see where Kittle is because he was looking sideways all this time. In a 3 second window. Only Mahomes is capable of doing the two pump fakes and throwing for a deep TD. In HS, sometimes a QB has over 10 seconds to throw because of a dominating offensive line. In the NFL, with a 3 second window, the two pump fakes are almost impossible to do in a 3 second window.

Purdy executes like a seasoned veteran. With all the weapons the Niners have now, I haven't been this optimistic about their future in a long time.

It's been a surprising season for us Seahawks fan this year. We almost doubled the amount of wins everyone thought we were going to win. At this point I think we should just tank so we can get two top 10 draft picks in this update draft. This team is young and has a lot of potential but we all know with that run defense in the playoffs we'd be one and done.
They have played better than I thought they would. Their secondary is getting that feel to it again with those corners. Get a beast LB and Dlineman and they will be a force next year IMO.
