From Carlin to Pryor to White and Lewis Black...they all made my Father and me laugh. But, Kinison made our heads hurt with uncontrollable laughter. He made me cry laughing so hard I'd have to take break.
Sam Kinison had exactly no boundaries. His "Have You Seen Me Lately" album started off with don't wear rubbers and we HAVE to drink and drive and ended with a bit about homosexual necrophiliacs.
😆 "Psycho" is one way to put it... Yeah, Kinison was an absolute beast in his time. The 80's would honestly not have been the same without him. He had _that_ much of an effect on American culture. Seriously. I first heard him on a cassette tape when I was a kid...it had an influence. 😂 In his comedy club, Dangerfield once intro'd him as Bad Sam. Read "bad" as _bad-ass,_ because he was. Kinison was incapable of being politically correct. That was his glory. If you haven't reacted to it by now, check out his appearance in the movie "Back to School" where he plays Professor Terguson. Rodney Dangerfield was the star while Kinison had a very memorable cameo appearance.
What you should know is Sam Kinison started out as a preacher and then became a comedian. His take on religious comedy is hysterical. This clip is from "Breaking the rules." You should watch the whole show, you'll be on the floor laughing.
I saw this same skit during his performance in a huge gym at my olde college...there was a large christian contingent sitting at the front near the stage. He drove them out...to the raucus cheers of the rest of the crowd. What a performer...
That’s weird because he’s very religious all the way up until his tragic death. I think it was a car crash and as he was dying they said he was talking to God saying he didn’t want to die but at the end he passed away saying it’s ok.
Loved Sam back in the day. He was actually a preacher before he was a comic, he realized it as all bullshit and a lot of his comedy was pointing that out.
I was in High School when I first heard this on HBO I believe... Yeah, I do not believe this generation could handle this stuff...Ill tell, you, if he had lived and was still going...I really dont think Biden would have gotten thru 1st 2 years of "His" administration. And Kinison might have been Trump's Vice President...lol...
Interesting story about Kinison. When he was only 3 years old he was hit by a truck and suffered a brain injury of some sort that according to his brother and his parents *totally* altered his personality from a very quiet and reserved kid into someone totally The opposite. He "became" this extroverted, confident dude who was off the wall and careless. Before his success in comedy he was a Pentecostal preacher...you can imagine how fuking entertaining that must've been lol. Tragically in 1992 Sam was killed in a car accident. He was 38.
Very tragic. He had recently gotten married, again, and given up drugs and booze. Ironically, he was killed in a car wreck on the way to a show by a drunk drive that was on the way to see him at said show.
I love that you are understanding where some of the comics today got their inspiration. Yes he was controversial but he was to be taken with a grain of salt. #samkinison❤
Tip.. turn off the noisy fan. Maybe then Sam won't have to yell...lol. BTW, Sam was once a preacher before getting involved (heavily) in sex, drugs, and rock n roll/comedy.
Watches best friend CARL LABOVE would open up for him He is brilliant beyond compare specifically the wildebeest He is brilliant beyond compare specifically the wildebeest
I don’t see anything funny , anyone who mock or laugh of Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour will have consequences soon or later. The name of Jesus is very holy.
So why are 3 guys at my work named Jesus isn't that mocking? After my 12 years of Catholic school and abusive nuns and a priest, jokes like this are pretty tame. Not all Christians act Christian, that's the hypocrisy you don't understand or haven't experienced.
I don't think he was mocking Jesus. He never said Jesus did anything wrong. He was making fun of how a hypothetical wife (and the world in general) would realistically react to him being away for the weekend. As if his divinity wasn't clearly obvious, which biblically speaking it wasnt. Biblically speaking, there were many people, the majority even, that were skeptical or atleast unsure. Jesus himself even addressed this when he asked the apostles "who do others say I am." He's making fun of their unbelief and doubt. Even after he calmed the waters, cast out demons, heald the sick, and raised someone that was 4 days dead, still people didn't believe. Jesus wasn't the butt of the joke, the cynics were. Stay with we here. As a fellow Christian if I may be so bold I think he has a good underlying point. Please don't read this with anger but with consideration. A lot of churches have a tendency to teach as if Jesus was God wearing a human blanket. Just passing through the world , affecting it and observing it. He's often portrayed as speaking in this dispassionate monotone as if it didn't affect him too. But Biblically speaking we know it did. He was not God or man, he was a fusion of God and man. He didn't just see worldly temptations, he lived and felt them just like everyone else even though he never gave in to them. The Bible says he turned water into wine. This wasn't a fancy glass bottle. He turned "6 clay pots holding 20 to 30 GALLONS each" into strong wine. That's 150 GALLONS of wine. Compare that to the 1 gallon of milk in your refrigerator. Later he scolded the priests for looking down on him for partying with tax collectors and prostitutes. These were the people that needed him, not to be pushed away. Before he healed the man with the withered hand the Bible says he angrily asked the priests if they thought it was OK to heal on the sabbath. Then theres Matthew 23, his famous rebuke. Clearly he was furious at them for their hypocrisy, legalism, and self agrandisment. But it doesn't end there. When he saw how the death of Lazarus devastated his sisters "Jesus wept." At Gethsemane he didn't simply wait impassive, he cried. And the list goes on. It's a great injustice to Jesus to simply ignore or deny his humanity and simply focus on his divinity. It also makes him a better advocate for you and me. He lived and felt the trials, temptations, and pressures we do. He understands how easy it is to give into them. If you say Jesus I need help right now because the sadness is a 9 out of 10 he knows how that feels.
You youngsters! I'm 53 and grew up watching Sam and his yelling! He's the best!
A former traveling preacher who mastered the art of exposing life's hypocrisys. Priceless.
He's no psycho, he's a brilliant comic.
The legendary Sam Kinison...There was no one like him...RIP
i feel sorry for kids now , this is how comedy was !
Tell me about it. I’m a zoomer and this is my taste in humor
From Carlin to Pryor to White and Lewis Black...they all made my Father and me laugh. But, Kinison made our heads hurt with uncontrollable laughter. He made me cry laughing so hard I'd have to take break.
Sam is and will always be a legend. Miss that man 💯
He was my favorite comic of all time along with george carlin. Sam was an ex preacher in the south.

A new testament to his humor..lol..laughed so hard he puked..love it..
My parents had this whole show on VHS. Saw this when I was WAY too young for it. If you can find the whole thing, it’s SO FUNNY.
Power through the puking LOL
Fake Andy Samberg looks like he's ready for the Special Olympics 🤣🤣
🤣🤣😂😂 Loved your reaction, he was weird. He appeared in Howard Stern's show several times and always killed.
You should do a reaction to Sam Kinison necrophilia joke. You'll die laughing!!!
"This guy's a psycho"
They're young, they'll learn....

I'm so glad at 67 that the young folk are enjoying REAL MUSIC AND REAL COMEDY FROM THE 60S, 70S, AND 80S

You should find Sam's appearances on Howard Stern in the 80s and 90s. He'd come in wasted from boozing it up all night.
Back in the day when comedy wasn't DEAAAAAADDD!

Sam left us way to soon!😂
When people could JOKE and not get cancelled, miss those times!
"Is it over?" too funny.
"Your twelve friends that won't get a job."
😅
Nice reaction. Interestingly enough Sam was a pentecostal preacher before he did comedy, so hes accurate with the story
That's how I reacted😂😂😂
Kinison used to be a Pentecostal preacher.
Sam was a child preacher when he was pre-teen and that's where that screams comes from.
That was great.
Please react to more Kinison!
Sam is a f’g legend.
Loved Sam back in the day. He was actually a preacher before he was a comic, he realized it as all bullshit and a lot of his comedy was pointing that out.
I don't think Sam ever gave up on God. I think he gave up on the Church and religion, but not God.
@@navyreviewer he was an atheist, he absolutely knew the idea of a god being real was as much bullshit as the religion itself.
Where are you guys? You haven't posted in 2 years! Where are you????
I was in High School when I first heard this on HBO I believe... You guys are way to stoned. lol. Your laughing is making me laughing.....
Sam used to be a Minister.
He was a preacher before he became a comedian.
Watch Tony Woods on his vacation in Jamaica.
I love that you are understanding where some of the comics today got their inspiration. Yes he was controversial but he was to be taken with a grain of salt. #samkinison❤
He use to be a minister
Those were the days my friend...
He was a great loss ....totally😥😥😥
I would like to suggest you watch Eddie Murphy's two stand up specials from the 1980s. Delirous and Raw. You'll love it!
Yeah, he was lost. He became, "lukewarm." It did him no good in the end, did it?
😅
Sam was a revival Baptist minister before comedy
Tip.. turn off the noisy fan. Maybe then Sam won't have to yell...lol. BTW, Sam was once a preacher before getting involved (heavily) in sex, drugs, and rock n roll/comedy.
Check out Greg Giraldos video on marriage. He said if Jesus had a wife she would have asked, "How long will you be up there?"
That’s comedy. Folks.
Chek out necrophilac bit
Kinnison was way off the spectrum...
...the DEEP END of the spectrum...
...sucks that he had to leave us all behind.
Are you guys on acid?
Watches best friend CARL LABOVE would open up for him He is brilliant beyond compare specifically the wildebeest He is brilliant beyond compare specifically the wildebeest

I've seen stoners before......
