Levis' senior year is an enigma. He played hurt. He lost Liam Coen to the Rams from his Jr year. He lost 4 linemen to the NFL from jr to sr year AND the acclaimed o line coach for UK passed away. His stud RB that the playbook was built around missed 6 games too. BUT he also got 2 stud freshmen WR and a decent TE and there were times he just made the wrong choice, tried to play hero and failed, or made a bad read. He has huge upside, in a normal year where most teams aren't short a QB, he's a 2nd rounder, but so many need a starting QB. I'd love to see him succeed, but he needs the right setup to make it happen.
@zXOcdestroyerXz finger injury was on his non-throwing arm just like the shoulder sprain. Turf toe was the only legitimate one that would affect him as a qb, and with that it was only the ability to scramble. Stop using scape goats lmao
That goes for almost all QB's, it's all about what team drafts a guy. Hell if Herbert or Burrow Allen were drafted by different teams their careers could be on massively different paths right now.
I think another big reason why Levis didn't make the jump from junior to senior seasons was the fact that kentucky had an NFL caliber OC his junior season, and a guy who had never been an OC before his senior season who was fired a couple weeks once the season was over
Don't try to make excuses for bad play. The NFL talent evaluators actually watch the tapes and they see trash. That is why Levis did not get drafted in the 1st round.
@Posey James reasons are not excuses prick.. why did burrow blow lead vs rams in superbowl why did mahomes get blown out in the superbowl vs Tampa why has lamar surrounded by an incredibly stable organization only won 1 playoff game his entire career ?? Wanna talk about that ??

After seeing all the QB's now in tape and the combine, there are only 2 QB's in Young and Stroud that teams should feel secure in drafting. Levis, Richardson, +anyone else start falling into the projection and project category. It will be fun to see where these guys go
Spot on, as much as size will hurt young, he is still an amazing player that will succeed along with cj. However, with Levis and Richardson you are praying for improvement in accuracy and mechanics. These two could set your team back 4 years or set your franchise up for 10 years
as a uk fan and alum i can confirm he has the same sack problems as burrow(which will be a major win condition for burrow and levis) and the interceptions looked bad because of poor targets and pass blocking as well as the worst run game and OC in ten years. I think he will definitely be a starting qb on teams but probably not anything better than prime wentz.
Last year's draft should be a reminder that the NFL draft doesn't happen in a vacuum, especially for QBs. Only 1st round QB, and the rest were late Day 2s or Day 3s. That was because the only team dying for a QB was Pittsburgh, and they took their guy in the 1st. This year, there are at least three teams dying for a QB (Panthers, Texans, Colts), and several more who have a legitimate chance of using a first on one (Raiders, Falcons, Lions, Patriots, Titans, extreme outside chance of Bears trading Fields and taking one.) There are only 4 QBs worth a first rounder, and Levis is one. He'll go high because the bidding war for QBs is gonna be competitive this year.
I'm a Giants fan and it's a trip seeing everyone who making fun of us for picking Daniel Jones at #6 now tripping over themselves to pick a prospect who is objectively worse in many ways higher than #6 overall, possibly even trading up for him. I'm hoping the ultimate takeaway is "any prospect can succeed in the NFL" since I see so many people willing to write off players not drafted in the first round if they're not breakout stars in year one.
The only reason Daniel even had a good season is because of Brian daboll, he is great at developing qbs. Will levis can do the same thing if he gets a good coach. Daboll is the main reason josh Allen is what he is today
His deep ball hangs in the air far too long. It's strange, look at Stafford as a comparison as they are very similar. Stafford has a deep ball that just drops out of the air with incredible speed, Levi's has a deep ball that inexplicably hangs for a half second. I can't explain why, I just know that NFL DBs will enjoy it
he gives me carson wentz/ sam darold vibes, but one thing no one talked about with him is that he has a big arm but tended to under throw his guys when throwing down field
I don't see him to be a bust but I do see him take two years to really develop into a star he has to go to the right team with a hands on coach and coaching staff and nice piece around him he'll be fine in the NFL
Idk abt two years but I think it’ll take him some time. If the coaching is reasonably good then I see him as a good qb midway through neither year after next.
You know who else had a stout running game with a top 3 receiver? Aaron Rodgers. And I think we can agree who's better between the two. 1,000 yard receivers in a 17 game season doesn't hold the weight it once used to. Levis would have _one_ decent receiver who still isn't considered an All-Pro, going into his rookie year. It would be on Taylor's shoulders and I wouldn't bet on his health to hold up for another one of those seasons.
I'm glad the lions aren't being given levis in almost all the mock drafts anymore. If you could have him sit behind Jacoby brisett if browns didn't sell their soul for Watson or behind Andy Dalton or Derek Carr in new Orleans or formerly las Vegas that would be ideal. He needs at least half a year in a season where the team is already not expecting to make the playoffs if not a whole season to sit
9:48 I don't think he was trying to make a play there. He turns to check his third read and the defender is immediately in his face. That's on his LG for failing to maintain the block long enough to give him time to throw. You can say that he needs to move up to buy time, but he isn't trying to escape there.
Just ignore all the players who haven't played in the SEC and are successful. SEC is literally just Georgia and Alabama and LSU on a good year. Kinda like every conference in College Football
A lot of upside with to proper developement and coaching. Could make a great backup year 2 through 4, then who knows. Definitely a worthy late draft pick for a team with depth and culture. Remember Brock Purdy.
Uh what? I’d say Richardson who posted terrible passing numbers in college and is billed as a first round pick because he runs fast and jumps high. He plays a position where 40-yard dash and vertical jump **have a negative correlation with NFL success.** QB is all about IQ, processing speed, touch and release. See Tom Brady, Andrew Luck, Drew Brees, Chad Pennington, Josh Allen, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan, Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert and Pat Mahomes… Richardson’s skillset and profile is one that no QB in the NFL has ever succeeded with. While yes, the NFL seems dead set on making QB less cerebral and more athletic, seemingly attempting to eliminate passing defense, even now, only guys like Jalen Hurts and Justin Fields (who is terrible) are even close to a comparison. Hurts put up far better passing numbers in college and even then, he has the best supporting cast in the NFL, and has a much easier job than most QBs have (see Andrew Luck, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson). I’d say Levis is as close to lock as there is among QB prospects outside of Andrew Luck. He posted incredible numbers in his college career despite operating with a terrible line, and virtually no top talents at receiver save a slot guy with tiny hands. He played in the windy, damp, cold and carried a bad team on his back. He’s being measured against guys like Stroud and Hooker who each have multiple first round linemen and receivers helping them. It’s difficult evaluating a QB who has been coddled for his entire career, who has been able to sit back for five seconds untouched before floating passes to a security blanket of freak athletes. Watching Levis at Kentucky on the other hand, tells us much more. He has shown that he can get the ball out as fast as any NFL QB, with premium velocity on all angles, even when on the run, under constant pressure, with excellent accuracy. He has shown that he’s smart, adaptable, tough, quick-thinking and resilient. Levis is a great QB. He has the IQ and processing speed, time to release, mechanics, athleticism, vision, arm strength to flourish. While we don’t have his IQ test, time to release has a strong-positive correlation with NFL success and his is elite. His tape and other measurables are similarly optimistic when evaluated analytically. Boom or bust? Yeah, not really. Best QB prospect in the class.
I think he will be considered a bust based on where he's drafted I think he's going to have a career that if he was a 2nd round pick he wouldn't be considered a bust a Daniel Jones/ Andy Dalton level QB
Guy has an absolute cannon. He has the balls to stand tall in the pocket and deliver the rock with defenders barreling down on him. See some Brett Favre and Jeff George in him.
I feel like Seattle should draft Will L. Or Anthony Richardson if they get the chance because I have a feeling Pete C. could develop them to there high potential. Idk my thoughts.
Imagine Will Levis throwing to DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. They have gotten so much out of the Russel Wilson trade, they are playing with house money anyway and they could sit Will Levis for a year.
I wouldn’t be shocked if the Raiders said “Fuck it” and took Levis with the #7 pick due to how Tebow worked out for at least JMD and how that may turn off A-Rich for them, as well as wanting the next Herbert I prefer AR15 but I guess any young QB is better than taking a chance on a 1 year rental to delay the inevitable rebuild
I would risk it as a GM. Im biased as a Kentucky fan he has been the best QB since Couch and fits well in todays NFL. The things he doesn’t do well can be taught.

i been saying carson wentz for a long time but nobody wanna hear it go watch the film its a replication. carson before the all the injuries was a darn good qb
I’m a UK fan and his oline was trash his senior year. I do think him not having any supporting cast his senior year is a bit overblown. Chris Rodriguez, Barion Brown, Dane Keys, and Tayvion Robinson all have a chance to play in the NFL. He didn’t have a WanDale Robinson this year, but he also made some plays that made you scratch your head. Throwing into double and triple coverage. Erratic throws nowhere close to a receiver that were intercepted. Has difficulties reading defenses. Fumbling the ball at the goal line against Ole Miss was baffling. It showed me he has a lot to learn when it comes to in game awareness. He has boom or bust written all over him. All the tools in the world. Brute strength, speed, arm strength. He’s an older prospect as well. Same age as Fields and Lawrence. The biggest flaw is touch. He throws the ball as hard as he can, when taking a little off would be a TD for his team. It’s like an artist taking a paint brush and smashing it into a canvas. I’m rooting for him because I really think he can be a pro bowl player, but he needs the right system and coaching. He can be Josh Allen or Jamarcus Russell, and I’m not sure there’s any in between.
And in fact I think your observations will bear out. He'll play some years in the league but he'd have to be an unusually fast learner to achieve greatness.
All eyes will be on the Colts at #4. Is it Levis, Richardson, or one of the other guys? My dark-horse unlikeliest scenario is they fill another need at #4 or trade out of it, and then take Max Duggan at #35 in the second round. But I don't think they have the guts to risk it like that.
Don’t see him holding down a starting job, may get multiple chances but won’t be consistent enough. Will make some throws but don’t think he will be good. Who knows though, I think only time will tell
Keeping in mind this is the NFL disinformation period before the draft. He is a late round 1 maybe 2nd. I think he has great talent but needs to get some pro practice and experience. Hope he gets a good coach and a team with some ballers. Saw him play at PSU and thought he was a fine player.
The Colts will say Young and Stroud look better and are NFL-ready and Richardson has higher potential. Nothing about Levis will cross their minds because they will trade up to #1 or #3 to ensure it.
@@WestCoastCheeseHead I agree but not having a supporting cast isn’t an excuse. He’s gonna get picked high in the draft to a rebuilding team so he better get use to it. Saw him back at penn st n he’s legit. I’m just not ready to sign him off as a can’t miss prospect
This whole playing against the good competition argument is stupid, in college some teams are lightyears better than other teams. In the NFL all teams have equal talent or access to talent so you look for traits. Levis probably has the best traits of the QB's this year, granted I feel this is much worse QB class than most think.
It's wild to me that anyone wants this guy. The only pro I see is his arm. There is absolutely no advantage to drafting him over Richardson. Richardson is younger (gonna be easier to fix his bad habits over Levis'), has an even stronger arm, and is a better athlete. They are both boom-or-bust. Looking over the profiles, I have to laugh at how they look like the same description. I see Richardson going first because he's younger and faster, but that could mean he ends up in a worse situation than Levis. Ultimately, Josh Allen succeeded because of the coaches and support around him, and it will be no different for Levis OR Richardson. I don't see either succeeding in Houston (unless Ryans has a QB whisperer up his sleeve. I don't know his staff yet.), I *definitely* see them both failing in Carolina, but right now, I think Indianapolis is a good home for Richardson and Las Vegas is a good home for Levis. I can't say they'll succeed there, but I think those are their best landing spots. (As an aside, I can't see why Stroud would slip below both guys with how safe he's seen as being, but he's the only guy I like Carolina considering.)
Looks like he has a great arm and size, but I am concerned about him not being able to move around well in the pocket to elude the pass rush. A 24 year old rookie QB is not very attractive either. I like him for the Giants if we can get him at pick #25, not if we have to trade up for him.
That should be a red flag. The Eagles drafted a 24 year old rookie QB in Carson Wentz as well and while he had early success, older rookies tend to not develop since they’re more likely to have already hit their ceiling
hes going to be either a bust or at best a derek carr level player. nothing wrong with that. a solid starter for many years and can certainly bring you to the playoffs. but not a franchise saving player. not someone who can turn it around in an instant. not someone who can take you all the way to the promise land

I honestly disagree wity the boom or bust narrative. He has a better floor than what people think and his ceiling isn't that high
His throws were bad during the combine. Bad supporting cast or not.
If I was GM and was paying a mortgage on a mansion the decision would be easy, hell no.
That Kentucky ole miss game was incredible but it exposed Kentucky as posers.
Of the top 4 QB's he's QB 4. Richardson is a better risk than him. He's got bust written all over him.
Also apparently this dude is “deathly afraid of milk” not allergic, AFRAID
I get that Josh Allen is awesome but he definitely regressed a bit this year
Don’t see him holding down a starting job, may get multiple chances but won’t be consistent enough. Will make some throws but don’t think he will be good. Who knows though, I think only time will tell
Will Levis tape show what jordan love tape show when they both didn’t have weapons around them..
Levis gives me Stafford vibes
Decisions have little to do with injuries. Not an NFL quarterback, end of….
On the right team he’ll be a star, on the wrong team he’s out of the league in 5 years
Yes this is good
Giants should trade Jones and draft Levis, Daboll would make Levis into a machine
Depends where he goes
BOOM 💥
Big Johnny Manziel?
Keeping in mind this is the NFL disinformation period before the draft. He is a late round 1 maybe 2nd. I think he has great talent but needs to get some pro practice and experience. Hope he gets a good coach and a team with some ballers. Saw him play at PSU and thought he was a fine player.
The Colts will say Young and Stroud look better and are NFL-ready and Richardson has higher potential. Nothing about Levis will cross their minds because they will trade up to #1 or #3 to ensure it.
Didn't age well.
Just another Mitchell tru, alota upside but idk if it’ll pan out. Plus he only threw 19-10 td to int ratio last year. Not the best resume.
He’s more talented than trubisky
@@WestCoastCheeseHead I agree but not having a supporting cast isn’t an excuse. He’s gonna get picked high in the draft to a rebuilding team so he better get use to it. Saw him back at penn st n he’s legit. I’m just not ready to sign him off as a can’t miss prospect
This whole playing against the good competition argument is stupid, in college some teams are lightyears better than other teams. In the NFL all teams have equal talent or access to talent so you look for traits. Levis probably has the best traits of the QB's this year, granted I feel this is much worse QB class than most think.
He eats bananas with the peel on and puts mayo in his coffee. I’m good on him. No thanks.
Joe Burrow was a 24 year old rookie.
I want the raiders to draft him.
I can see the Vikings taking him if he falls to 23.
The Upshaw play was a simple terrible pass
Out of this entire video my largest conclusion is that the Miami linebacker is trash with low awareness.
He was co.pared to Nick Foles pass him by.
Zack Wilson.
Levis reminds me of an old Philip Fulmer quote. He looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane. This guy is a bust 100%.
He's an incredibly poor decision maker, especially when he's under pressure.
But he's scared of milk and aprently is a "legitimate concern"
I thought blake bortles.
0% chance I think you might be too young to remember Ray Lewis play. But great video!
I could really see a Trent Dilfer caliber quarterback here with Levis.
hes going to be either a bust or at best a derek carr level player. nothing wrong with that. a solid starter for many years and can certainly bring you to the playoffs. but not a franchise saving player. not someone who can turn it around in an instant. not someone who can take you all the way to the promise land
Either John Elway or Zach Wilson
