      I have eureka moments all the time which, in a healthy society/world would be so commonplace as not even worthy of mention. Such, however, is clearly not the case. Therefore, the question you, every other channel on RUclips and the entirety of the human intellectual apparatus should be asking is "Why". Additionally, why is there such a deficit of original thought within the global population, as is most certainly the case? If my position on the above question is incorrect, then the answer to "the meaning of life" would not have eluded mankind and the answer would be known and understood by every nation and every tongue.

      I get ripped off annoyed by "intelligent" people yesterday, today and many more of the future boasting of their intelligence when the iceberg you see is just a tiny visible sliver compared to what you can't see below the surface of the water. If a man is so intelligent, so advanced that they should be revered then why has it taken all this learning for eons to reach a level of intelligence that we've barely mastered the art and mechanism of our toilets and are only now launching into a technological world of electricity? Take your handkerchief, blow your nose and try to explain to me the existence of supernatural beings. I know nothing of them, but I do know, widely known since the days of Adam and Eve, a living God who has made prophecies from way back when. These prophecies have come to pass, are coming to fruition now and still have yet to be fulfilled and not once have they been refuted or proven wrong. Rather, these prophecies have surpassed the knowledge of countless foolish scholars and have been precise down to the quantillionth of a second and even more so beyond the comprehension of the mathematics of man. So many foolish rulers, scholars and the like have been scorned by the word of the Lord and driven mad to the point of perpetrating with all their might the erradication of the existence and knowledge of these Holy Words. Look at your history dating back to Babylon, even further back if you wish, peruse through these ancient scriptures and do the math; compare the timelines and facts as to which rulers and kingdoms came to rise and wither according to the written Gospel. You will not be able to refute a single fact. The part that astounds me the most is that these kingdoms, their rulers tried so hard to erradicate and falsify these testimonies, yet provide the proof themselves with their artifacts, remains and ruins of their kingdoms AND their well known stories of old of their conquests and their own defeat. There will never be a man who will be able to understand the rule of the Most High.

      Right, compliant minds that are open to another mind's or collective minds' ideas. This bypass technique is a method whereby the more willing or resourced mind imposes it's philosophy onto the collective line of compliant thought - similar to the popular vote of an election or the unchallenged willingness to place a mask onto one's face based on the unfounded compelling will of the collective. Please study this deeper and I think you'll find a universe of thought for how the Collective Will of the continuum proceeds.

      JMG is always a top notch host but I'm not sold on this Harvard professor. Too much BS. For instance, his comments about a technological civilization on a tidally locked planet wanting to distribute light/heat across the planet. Umm, if they evolved on a tidally locked planet, they don't want day-night cycles.
      If they were as home-biased as this man is they would look at Earth and say, "nice habitable planet, let's look for technology that keeps one side of the planet in perpetual light and the other side in darkness". Not knowing that animal life here needs sleep and plant life can't handle sunlight 24/7/365.

    I appreciate how Dr Loeb acknowledges that the spiritual impulse is humbling and not arrogant. As much as I love Carl Sagan, he characterized the God mind as a sort of divine arrogance that places man at the center, but for most honest people it’s really not. It’s the people looking for power and taking advantage of the empathetic types that turn it into a power structure.

    13:00 talking about the atmosphere being stripped off, why would a low-burner star have a proportionally stronger wind?

    • @JDAxonn
      @JDAxonn 5 лет назад +1

      It has been theorized that the strenght of stellar wind has to do more with the proximity to the star rather than the star itself. For example: a planet 20 million miles from The Sun would be hit with about the same amount of wind than a planet at the same distance to a Red Dwarf.
      Since red dwarfs are the coldest stars, a planet must be around 9 million go 19 million miles from its host red dwarf for the surface temperature to be good enough to have liquid water on it. By comparison, airless Mercury is about 36 million miles from the Sun. Earth is 93 million miles away.
      Red dwarfs are also more magnetically active and produce more Xray and Ultraviolet radiation. For these reasons, they have more frequent and stronger eruptions, or "stellar flares". These strongly ionize the atoms and molecules in the atmosphere allowing the pressure of the stellar wind to sweep them into space.

    That was a fascinating video that brought me to think about many facets of things we take for granted. It also gave me insight into some very interesting ideas. You spoke of cosmic engineering to hold back parts of the universe from dispersing through the accelerating expansion, which then reminded me of The Great Attractor. What if that's a signature of cosmic engineering, for instance? Or when you mentioned what we're looking for with biosignatures, what if alien life is so... well, alien, that we might misinterpret it as simple chemical or unknown physical phenomena? This universe has far more mysteries and secrets than the best minds can even begin to wonder about. I'm fairly certain that, although very accurate and precise, our current understanding of physics and cosmology are completely in the wrong direction, and I certainly hope to see some really mind-shattering reinventions of modern physics. Perhaps such breakthroughs could happen while some brilliant mind out there is showering, haha.

    Amazing channel. Thank you! My only criticism would be the music during the interview, but then again it could only be me, I'm the kind of person who gets so easily distracted.

      Nah I feel this, too. Literally the only complaint I have is that the music is a little too loud whenever I'm trying to hear what's being said. Minor production issue, I think. Just decreasing the volume of the music so it doesn't interfere with the dialogue would help immensely for people like us.

    Great content, but I have mixed feelings about the background music. Sometimes the levels are too high and the speaker no longer sounds front center. The ambient stuff usually works, but the moment the tempo picks up and there's a beat, I just find it distracting away from the speaker. Just a bit of feedback is all. Otherwise, ten thumbs up!
