I wasn't expecting an actual video with acting, costumes, sets, and stories. I thought it was just going to be a playlist of music set to old Lego catalogue images. This is WAY more creative than I thought it was going to be.

I know I'm super late, but I just finished watching this and I was NOT expecting this kind of trip. I've been listening to your music since day one and every new album felt like a different adventure. You never stopped to impress... but I never imagined THIS! I was immediately sucked in into the story and visuals of this video and got totally lost in your universe... I cannot imagine the amount of time and effort put into the sound, art, models, scenes, story, acting, characters, costumes and the THE LIVE ACTION SEGMENTS??? It all wraps up to make this wonderful masterpiece... everything to the last detail is so cozy and nostalgic. truly a special experience. (Honestly I would love to see a detailed behind the scenes video) And the segment at the end... CHEF'S KISS... such a deep and clever commentary on nostalgia and anxiety. I personally relate so much to the narrator. Lowkey one of my favourite pieces of art EVER. Huge respect to you and the people who worked on it. Thank you for bringing us to this nostalgic adventure, Majisto!!! 💜💛 now if you'll excuse me I'm hitting the replay :D

It's very rare for the algorithm to direct me to something that so directly hits every part of my spot on the venn diagram, and even more rare for me to find it on the day it releases - this is wonderful work, absolutely has to be one of my favorite dungeon synth releases of the year, it has such a Tales Under the Oak vibe to it that really amplifies the charm. Keep up the amazing work!

But, MAN, this emotionally cuts thought to the heart of my personal millennial memories; deep fried in authentic anolog lofi. @@dreamcastleTM Nostalgia has often been used for ill and for gain from others. It can trick us and deceive us and leave us in an opium like state. Congratulations on another incredible project Dreamcastle. Both in the sets themselves as well as the creative and interesting ideas that people have made from them. Kudos!
I will never cease to be impressed by your work. Perfectly hitting that Vaporwave "something with sensibilities that never existed, but feel like they would have back in the day" kind of vibe, with heaps of care and attention to detail. I found you through sluggers cassette tape unboxing and have been a regular listener since. I think this is the best one overall, yet!
Now that was awesome, a little different from your other albums since this has dialogue telling the story rather than being told in the timestamps like your "Enter the DreamCastle" album, but it's interesting. The crackly video quality makes me feel nostalgic for the 90s, the style reminds me of Vangelis when they made the music for movies like Blade Runner and that monologue at the end is so heartfelt I actually cried. Majisto and Ogwen are wonderful and I greatly enjoyed them both. I still can't get over how good the background looked for that scene, I assumed some was CG but not nearly as much as it seems. Even just the overviews of the playsets were just so well done, the lighting, the candle and torch effects, the camera work, it all felt like a classic commercial but better. The attention to detail in all of these is just phenomenal, even the "media found" video looking realistic, but very clearly having the harry potter era door piece is just so cool. This is so incredible, the vibe is immaculate. I felt a pain in my soul listening and watching through this, but not in like a bad way. The word 'nostalgia' is formed from the greek words nostos (homecoming) and algos (pain) so calling this a Symphony of Nostalgia would be all too accurate. The ending especially really drives it all home for me.
I came to this for music, was confused, and then became entranced. This brought me so many memories, particularly the tape that came with the Dragonstrike board game. Incredible stuff.

Beautiful video, well done! I love all the little details, from the puppets to the animations, the VHS-era aesthetic and the interwoven lore. It's like a lost memory from childhood! And the music is great as always 👍
Nostalgic and engrossing, I really love the storytelling throughout, absolutely stellar work. You continue to impress me with your ability to capture a moment in time. Also excellent taste in films. Legend and Dragonslayer? Perfect.
Looks and sounds amazing! Coming from a vintage Lego and vintage synth collector! I've been thinking about using an old vhs camera to film my mocs and add some ambient stuff over it.
This gave me chills and made me feel emotional. Really transported me back to the late 90's and early 2000's. Such a beautiful piece of art. I am trying so hard not to cry while watching this. Thank you and bless you everyone that worked on this. This is a masterpiece.
At the start of Bandit Ambush, I caught a very subtle Street Fighter III sample. Akuma has one of the best themes! Good choice! Great pitch work with the sample and perfectly timed with the drums!
haha, in this case it wasn't a sample, but it may very well have been the same synth instrument. I made a few deliberate choices to use some pretty famous patches.
Argh, this can't premier soon enough. I've been counting down the days. The trailer was incredible, so I can only imagine how awesome the final product will be. I think I'll try to host a watch party in the Summer of Slug server 🤔

@@Brickmogul hello from New England!!
Man. This is amazing! I love all of the hard work put into your art. I do really wish I got my hands on one of those tapes though…
Great job and keep up the magic!
6:07 so beautiful
This goes so hard, it’s been on a loop while I work. Truly and sincerely - bravo.
This reminds me of the magic and wonder of my early childhood, thank you for that.
incredible work
Beautiful video, well done! I love all the little details, from the puppets to the animations, the VHS-era aesthetic and the interwoven lore. It's like a lost memory from childhood! And the music is great as always 👍
This boutta explode someday
%110 you deserve more credit for this masterpiece
Nostalgic and engrossing, I really love the storytelling throughout, absolutely stellar work. You continue to impress me with your ability to capture a moment in time.
Also excellent taste in films. Legend and Dragonslayer? Perfect.
This is a certified hood classic!
Looks and sounds amazing! Coming from a vintage Lego and vintage synth collector! I've been thinking about using an old vhs camera to film my mocs and add some ambient stuff over it.
My deepest respect! Outstanding work!
Can't wait! Hopefully Majisto the Sampleweaver treats our ears yet again 🎉
beautiful
This gave me chills and made me feel emotional. Really transported me back to the late 90's and early 2000's. Such a beautiful piece of art. I am trying so hard not to cry while watching this. Thank you and bless you everyone that worked on this. This is a masterpiece.
😢
At the start of Bandit Ambush, I caught a very subtle Street Fighter III sample. Akuma has one of the best themes! Good choice! Great pitch work with the sample and perfectly timed with the drums!
haha, in this case it wasn't a sample, but it may very well have been the same synth instrument. I made a few deliberate choices to use some pretty famous patches.
@@dreamcastleTM very likely then. It goes almost note for note.
the visual production on this is insane
This was amazing! I want a Majesto costume. 🧙
I enjoyed it
much like
Argh, this can't premier soon enough. I've been counting down the days. The trailer was incredible, so I can only imagine how awesome the final product will be. I think I'll try to host a watch party in the Summer of Slug server 🤔
i feel ya. thanks so much for doing that!
Omg there's a Summer Of Slug server and you there's watch parties too!? Wow I gotta join.
