the 80s-90s is deceptively a very, very difficult aesthetic to emulate perfectly. you did it at such a level that it feels like an indistinguishable product from that era and i genuinely did not figure it out until about halfway through. great job to you and the collaborating artists, excited to see what youve got in store.

I'm a 37 year old man and the ending moved me to tears. I think you may be my doppelganger... Watching that virtual bedroom, I had (and still have!) that exact Sonic plush, and I think my parents had that exact oscillating fan. My neighbor had that exact Compaq Presario and I used to go over to his house and play games on it. Hell, I even had a fucking Tot Finder sticker in my window. This entire video from start to finish is just incredible. I hate to use that cliche vaporwave term, but you fucking nailed the aesthetic. And I'm not talking about vaporwave "aesthetic". You nailed the incredible nostalgic feeling of old Lego sets. The "Legoland" and "Lego System" logos. etc. I honestly thought this was a real Lego promotional video at first, that had simply been remixed with vaporwave music. It wasn't until about halfway through, that I realized this entire video was created by you. I grew up obsessed with the Lego Castle sets, so this video hits me hard. I only had a few sets because my parents could not afford to buy me a lot, but I loved the sets I had, and always browsed through the catalogs hoping I could get the rest of them. I had the Dark Dragon's Den set and was obsessed with the Dragon Masters sets. I also had the Black Monarch's Ghost set (because it was so cheap lol) Thank you for creating this beautiful video. As a fan of vaporwave, the music is great, but the entire video is just incredible. The RUclips algorithm has blessed me by leading me to your video.

got recommended this right when it came out and thought it was simply another chill album. Boy was I wrong! This video has very very quickly become one of my favorites on the platform, one I revisit quite often on my living room TV. The love and passion, the handcrafted vibe of it all, its so cozy and beautiful. I am absolutely in love with this video, and I can’t wait to see what you do next!

I first heard about this when it was covered on R. R. Slugger last summer and when I saw the full thing had been released, I tossed it on, expecting to get some solid background music. And then I sat there and watched the entire thing, start to finish. What a staggering work of medieval horror (the reframing of the yellow skies on many a Lego Castle box? Goosebumps!) and nostalgia, with something cogent and meaningful to say about the uses of nostalgia. The music, the animation, the live-action segments, the work to make it feel actually and truly vintage, the slippage between the realities; truly brilliant. This has dragged me deep into dungeon synth (thank you!) and I can't stop breathlessly pressing it on friends. I would love to learn about how this was made, to echo another commenter, but as is, this is truly incredible work. Much praise to the entire team!
