Thanx for Voiceplay Fridays!! They are just phenomenal and Rachel is amazing!! It was so much fun to hear The Tony Wakim in the outro exxplaining that theatrics was a departure. Evidently this is the first of the Theater Kids of Acapella standouts.
Tony has said that he enjoyed his time performing and wouldn't have missed it for the world...but that he really prefers to be on the other side of the camera: directing, costuming (his designing and actual sewing skills are out of this world!), and composing. But I do wish he would pop in just every now and then to appear as a featured performer in a VoicePlay video. The other really fun thing about watching people react to this video (besides the reactor not knowing who Tony is) is for them to wonder where Geoff is. "Hey, I'm not seeing Geoff in this video....Wait a minute, I'm HEARING Geoff, what the heck?...OMG, the guy with the SHORT HAIR is GEOFF!!!"

Tony, left the 'singing' part of VoicePlay, and is co-owner of Pattycake Productions with Layne....is more behind the scenes.....more of the "Theatrics" now, some of the outstanding videos you see, i am sure he has had his hand in them, to some degree....lol
You've already reacted to quite a few of my favorites! But I'd love to see you do Remember Me, Butter, Man In The MIrror, or their Moana medley. ETA: Actually, The Heart Of Life also deserves more love and attention than it gets, perhaps because it's sad and even a little painful to watch. But it's beautiful.
I just love Voiceplay! I am glad that you decided to return to earlier works, they deserve it. If I'm not mistaken, there is no Moana medley on the channel, the Little mermaid medley (both with Rachel) and Billy Ailish Trapped and Panic at the Disco 1,2 (it's better to watch them in this order, like 3 episodes of a movie!)
I like Voiceplay Fridays! I struggle to find new descriptive words for these guys. We need a new Voiceplay specific dictionary…urban or otherwise!!!! Lol. ❤
I’m looking forward to every Friday because you will do a reaction to VoicePlay😁! I recommend their cover of “Attention”, also featuring Rachel Potter, it’s great. Mostly Rachel and Eli on lead, but everyone is great as always! It’s not as old as this, I think it’s from 2017, Tony had left but J None had not yet joined so they were between baritones 😊.
Tony Wakim is a former member who is partners with Layne (beatboxer #VIOLAYNE) in Patty Cake Productions. They do many of their videos there. Patty Cake also does a series The Vilians Lair.
This is one of my favorite musicals. This was so good that I want them to do the full-length version of the film. For something totally different, try the Full Chicken Song live on stage with Tony! before he and Layne bought Pattycake Studios. Tony really wanted to be in production. Daddy Sang Bass is another sometimes sadly missed.

My understanding is Tony made Rachel's dress. He prefers behind the scenes, because his genius is there.

Layne really went crazy in this one. Geoff even made some unique sounds. But I do miss Tony. Wish he would feature with them sometimes
