Hi DRC, I have a set of theese Beatons, 26 gr. and I simply love them. Bought them 6 months ago, and used them a lot, so much that the golden part at the front has turned into silver.
Got a set of these in 22g a few days ago. After trying pretty much every dart shape in every weight over the last few years, I’ve settled with these and they’re flying! Also using the Steve Beaton Oversized Pear flights with them.
Tried my friends set of these tonight and hit my first ever 180 first three darts! Followed by a 100 and an 85 it’s safe to say these have been ordered!
Great review as always Darren, I just got these darts today and absolutely love them so far. Lets see how they go once our comp starts up for the year :)
Lovely review, and a lovely set to review indeed! Very pretty arrows. I used to have an old set of his and hated the balance, so kinds scared to try these. Wonder why they did not include oversized pear flights.
Thanks Ramon! I really need to get some oversized pears to give them a go, but I much prefer this version than the previous Beaton darts, grip is a lot better on these :)
I know a WINMAU Player. The 2004 BDO World Champion Andy "The Viking" Fordham. Have you done a review based on Andy Fordham? I personally think you should. Your Call!
Great review as always! I'm just wondering - shouldn't those flights be a pear shape? I haven't seen Steve Beaton playing with standard ones. And...Happy New Year of cours ;-)
Cheers mate! :) Not pear shape exactly as Beaton uses oversized pears which are bigger than the normal pear shape but I wish they had put some in the box as it would have been nice to try with his normal set up :) Happy New Year to you also! :)
I have these darts for a month now, fits my throw like no other.. but they seem to rip up my dartboard pretty bad. Blade 5. Any tips? Other points? Seem to be just standard non grip points.. help me out! Thanks. Great video!
I think the B5 is just not as good wearing as the B4 was. If your using the same points that the darts came with and its just the standard smooth type its not the points causing the problem. :)
I thought you said you had a blade 5? Gladiator 3 is probably the best board around at present. If the sisal is coming out that badly then you have got a bad board or there is some other problem, without seeing it I cant really know. You should post some pics on the forum.
Would the dart fly better with short stems and oversized pear flights ? Lol basically what I’m asking is if I threw it like Steve Beaton will it fly well ?
@@DartsReviewChannel I’ve been playing darts for 10 months now and still haven’t found a grip I’m comfortable and consistent with, I’m currently using 24g winmau darts, slim and straight, look a lot like Anderson’s and I’ve tried using different flights but isn’t working out for me, any tips would be nice pal 👍
@@BriggTheRig Its a problem many go through. Check the forum for some tips and may be post a pic of your grip. But the thing that most people say is how ever you pick the darts up is your grip. Hi, I wondered if you would you be able to do an updated version of your top 10/20 favourite darts? I know you did one last year, but I would like to see a new version, with so many new darts come out this year.
Yeah I will probably do a video of my favourites like usual but I have not had any of the new Target darts other than the Paul Lims, RVB95 and RVB80 and I have not had any of the new Harrows and only 2 of the new Winmau range so I can only go by the ones I have reviewed but not all of them were new out in 2017 :)
Thanks mate! Not sure what my favourites are but may be doing a video in a week or so of my top ten but I have not tried many of the new ones from Target, Winmau and Harrows so there is a lot of the 2017 released darts I have not had.
Thanks! Not sure I will be getting any but probably will but its quite a basic design really but will probably have to get some as a lot will be wanting to see a review :)
Alright mate, merry christmas hope you had a good one. Yep these beatons look like a good set, plenty grip. Could you review the new Red Dragon Carnage 24g Torpedo shape, just had a look and think you`d like em...lots. All the best for 2018 .
Hi Jim and Merry Christmas to you also and Happy New Year too!!! :) I like the looks of some of the new RD stuff so will probably be getting some, Carnage look good though :)
I was throwing them earlier and thinking about trying the 22g as I am not sure but I think it may suit me more, sometimes these dip a little too quickly for me and as the 22g is lighter they may just hold up in the air a fraction longer :)
I won those in your giveaway couple of years ago and they are still my favorite darts! Thanks again mate. Do you have any other recommendations for front weighted darts?
Steve Beaton does know a thing or two about having a nice dart with his Adonis persona. Sad to see him go in the 2nd round earlier, getting smashed by van der Voort. I do love front weighted but its way too chunky. Otherwise, great for the collection. Merry Christmas Darren!
Yeah I like to watch him play and its nice when he is on form, good to watch but he is doing well still and I hope he can continue for a few more years yet :) Happy Christmas mate! Have a good one! :)
Darts Review Channel Have a good one too. Btw, have you gotten the new Harrows sets for review ? The Veridian looks simply fantastic. Just gripped it the other day and it felt pretty sensational.
I think its more of a personal thing but I rest my finger on the point and yet I prefer to have a smooth point but some people like the grip on the point if it helps to keep their finger in place.
Steve Beaton does not use medium nylon stems ! You pay a lot of money for these darts , they should at least put in his type of stems and flights . Not forgetting there is no case .

Yeah think they were discontinued but sometimes they are sold as a different name on Amazon, probably old stock but not always easy to know when they may be on there.
I found them after on Amazon. Chinook 4 darts... only 22g tho. But people are saying the darts shown aren't the ones they'll receive. So im going to buy them off Ebay instead.
I dont have any and not sure when I will get some as from what I can tell they are exactly the same as the gold and silver model that I have already reviewed here: www.dartsnutz.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=28350 but with rainbow colours so if I were to get some the review would be the same really but I may get them in the heavier weight just for the sake of it :)
Well im kind of dont have much to spend 😊... and really would like some okey darts throwing some 18g soft tips now....but max 30 need to buy stems and flights to Reargripper
Without a doubt an amazing looking dart. Guess the question is, are these right for steve?. His old b&w or elkadart look nothing like these. This is all about money I guess putting grip all over the place gives you a wider range of sales. I understand it from a marketing point.,but for the player hell no. And steve if you read this get rid of them oversized pear they too big :) and get winmau to make a new set of ur old darts. Steve has a throw that can last for years without a doubt. If there is one guy I hate watching loose its him.
I guess only Steve will know but I think its a little strange with the grip on the barrels because he grips the stem more than the barrel so not sure he really needs the grip, may be a little of the grip on the rear but as for the rest I am not sure :)
Fantastic review. Your videos have gotten better and better over the years.
Good work mate and thank you.
Thanks Jack! And Happy New Year! :)
