thanks for the ideas for a cruise for me and momma. from the area, now live up in ma&pa land. that song you thought of about "runnin' the back roads so i wouldn't get weighed" is willin, by little feat
You're very Welcome! Glad I could give you an idea for a route! Great knowing that I'm inspiring my viewers. So-that's a Little Feat song? Only album I have by them is a reel of Dixie Chicken. But-a young (at the time) lady who lived up my street and attended a LF concert in 1970 or 71 somehow got backstage and met the band. She fell in love with one of the members but I don't remember which-and the two soon married, and she moved from the neighborhood (obviously)! That was the talk of the area for quite some time!
For my parents, Williamsport, PA is one of their 2 city options. I misread your caption and didn't catch my error until I saw the video footage. Still, fun to see a part of the country I will not visit this year. Maybe next year when the pandemic is over...
I assume it was Waynesboro that you misread! But believe me, I'd love to get up to the Williamsport area again one day! Used to pass through on the way to Wellsboro and the Grand Canyon. Still shame how this pandemic thing has affected us on so many fronts! Hope you and your family are staying safe!
Thanks Gus! I love those old PA towns. My city of Cleveland lost a music legend on March 5 - Michael Stanley, musician, songwriter, radio DJ and all-around good guy. One of his songs ("Lover") has the line "thank God for the man who put the white lines on the highway." Thought of you Gus. Keep following those white lines.
Glad you enjoyed, Deb! Not sure if I recall the name Michael Stanley, but interesting about the lines on the highway! I have to slow down a bit for health reasons and this covid thing (got shot #1 of the vaccine today), but I will again be out there following those lines...soon as I figure out where to go! Already have a few places in mind. Thank You again for all your support! Stay safe!
I was really fat when you filmed that, Gus. By the way, me & my Family are not going on vacation this month, unfortunately. Never been to Baugher's Farm, but I have been to Taneytown, Emmitsburg, and Waynesboro. Greencastle, maybe only once with my Father. But I cannot remember.
I did this last year in 2020, but didn't realize I had the wrong year in the title till other viewers pointed it out-just in case you were referring to 2010. Baugher's Farm makes a great rest stop, especially for folks like us who need to get out on occasion.
I drove from bwi to adams county via 70, tuesday june 29,2021 we stopped in Thurmont for fuel and a light meal. message me at johnm.chew@gmail.com. We will only be on here on the east coast until July 13, when we return to California. We will be in Pa for a week, and then visit family in Maryland for a few days before flying back home.
That is a nice area! Been passing through a long time! Got to ride the Gettysburg RR while it still ran, and took photos from the National Tower while it was still up!
I love cycling on those back roads.
I've cycled some back roads in the Strasburg area in the 80s. Really nice!
QMS!!! Holy crap, such great music! Pleased to hear a reference to them in this vid!
Nice seeing the smaller towns.
Yes it is! I grew up passing through those towns before interstates! Thank You!

I cheered at another sighting of the famous Bull Frog Rd. Yo, Gus, tell yer brother Jeremiah I said hello! I hear he's a cool character! :)
Another good trip. Stay safe.
Thank You again! Doin' my part to stay safe-got my first covid shot today. You stay safe too!

You always take me home on country roads, Bullfrog. Thanks for another visit.
Thank You-my pleasure! May even be returning to West Virginia this year! You're always welcome to ride along!
I'm presently in south central Pa right now, near Gettysburg. We arrived at BWI on Tuesday evening June 29,2021

Most our family live in Maryland.
I've lived in Maryland, except for a time in the late 50s when I stayed in Florida for a summer. Seems like so long ago now!
@@bullfrog1954 I greatly enjoy watching your country drive videos, and the narration.
@@bullfrog1954 If you want to you can email me and we can message directly?

Gus, you have the wrong year listed in the title. I thought you were stuck in a time warp. I made the same trip a few days ago, to Blue Ridge Summit.
Thank You for catching that! Another viewer caught it too, and it's since been corrected! Got some observant viewers!
I thought 2010! Then realised it is 2020. Great video as usual. Thank you so much for doing these.
Someone caught that and I corrected it! Yep-even I mess up on occasion! You're Welcome-glad you enjoyed!
17:19 I like to see #90 on there.
Have ever been up to High Rock?
I did go there once, but was a bit too crowded for me to be able to park anywhere and get out. Will try again one day.
I love your videos, but the date threw me as it says July 26th., 2010. I see people wearing a mask. Anyway, I know you meant 7-26-20.
I want to thank you for pointing that out to me, Dave! I made the correction! Much appreciated! You're very observant!
