If i get one of these Im gonna take all the foam out and put clicky switches in it with tall keycaps lol. Was thinking about getting the q10 but it's way out of my price range and its gasket mount so I would have to un-gasket it, and personally I kinda enjoy the sound of a plastic case vs a metal one. This was a super cute build tho! Those keycaps are adorable.
polyfill is really nice, gets rid of alot of hollowness without muting the characterstics of the board unlike traditional dampening like poron foam or silicone dampening. not saying poron foam and silicone dampening is bad, i just like polyfill more
maybe i could do an oring mod where the stand offs are but i already have the tape mod which kinda acts as another dampening method between the bottom case and the pcb/plate 🧐 what do you think? and thank you!! i wish i could also afford the qseries too🥲

I thought it was all alu. I always played around with the idea of trying out an Alice board but I wasn't sure if I could get used to the layout. How did you adjust? Did it take a while? the little duckies are so cute!! from what i gather regarding their V series vs Q series is that V series is usually the cheaper version of Q series. most of the difference is the case - V series being plastic and Q series being aluminum with most likely more features than V series (not 100% sure, so please correct me if im wrong) with the alice layout, im definitely still getting used to the typing experience. its quite different esp bec im so used to the regular keyboard layout and im already a mediocre typist at that lol. im glad i was able to try it out the layout as i've almost spent $400 on a more expensive alice keyboard. i would say to definitely find a used alice layout first before you splurge on one, unless you've tried it before and the layout is for you! also, the space bar sizes are 2.25u on the left and 2.75u on the right and haha no problem from some reason, i always feel behind im glad its not a bad wait for guys! c: the modded sound test is quite satisfying haha i will be trying more in the future! I really want to try their jelly blacks + snow white (i think that is what its called) currently i have akko cream blues v3 on hand so watch out for that in the future! do you have any akko switches in mind i should try out? let me know! thank you for always tuning into my videos !! i appreciate it ;-;
@@poongie I've tried jelly blacks and if you like a deep and thocky sound, definitely this switch is one for you. Just don't put them on a Northfacing pcb board with cherry keycaps. I've had interference with that config but with xda keycaps, the deep thock sound is amazing! I would say if you'd like to try out other akko switches, the cream yellow v3s are said to be good. It's basically the improved version of the akko matcha green switches which are said to rival gat milky yellows. :)
For the spacebar question, since my keycap set didn't come with a split spacebar I'm using a full size right shift key (2.75u) for the right spacebar, and an extra enter key (2.25) for the left spacebar (they're not the same height, but it works for me). Reference in my profile

honestly i do prefer the standard layout, i was so thrown off when i started using it but i can see how it can be good. i was starting to like it but then i had to try out other keebs out so i couldnt get used to it 🥲
mine was the same! make sure you’re using the right screwdriver size. if that doesnt work try using a rubberband on top of the screw then unscrew it! hope this helps :)
