Making key fobs is never a bad thing. I make things like this as 'swag' to put in geocaches. They're cheap and easy to make, and give people a lot of pleasure when they find them. This was a new stitch for me, so thank you for posting the tutorial.
Thank you so much! Ordered then, sitting next to my mailbox now haha. I just love especially the pink and mostly the magenta! BTW - you’re doing so awesome making the first box, that one I only can do on a good day😅. Any other tips on that? It could be that the strings I was using first were too slippery
I literally follow it thinking I’m doing every step as shown and then as soon as I pull the strings it turns into a massive mess 😂no idea what I’m doing wrong!
Would it be possible to turn this into a bracelet? I'm thinking of creating one for keychains and keys as well but I was thinking more of like a short lanyard style. I can't find tutorials on how to close a loop except for the more basic stitches. Maybe it's too complicated or wouldn't work because it'd be too thick?
@@airamartirez3576 I would say it’s too thick to turn these kinds into bracelets. I also don’t prefer bracelets with this material because it’s too rough.
Also the first box (the starter) never lies flat for me it’s going to be kind of folded- that’s okay just use a flat surface to lay our strings in correct place and slowly so second box and it will flatten out
Personally I use a pencil for my starter box as you can slowly move off and keep shape- plus the shape is already decently compact and should be pulled easier. Remember- my first box is usually almost kind of folded over and doesn’t lie flat until I make the second- also I never do the four and four pull. I do the two top and two bottom- then the two sides and slowly move them closer together
Man this makes me feel so dumb. Lol i should have just used the same cokor string as you . Maybe label it ABCD ? Lol omg when i pulled to get the box it does not look like a box and i lost all coordination
Its crazy we to do this as kids without RUclips now i can’t remember 20 years later
That’s why I’m here 😭 I told myself there has to be a tutorial on YT what isn’t on YT
I feel the same I can't the box started!!!!
My pops always started it for us and now he’s 74 yrs old and still remembers while I’m here learning on RUclips lol 😂
Same! 😂
My thoughts exactly

Do you switch colors?
Can you teach us how to make DNA next please
Every time I do this it keeps falling off
Use a pencil- and start by slowly pulling up and down strings first (2 top and 2 bottom) then your side to sides- gently four strings as well
Took me about 5 or six tries to start- as it usually does when I learn a new one- just keep trying methods and ways you are pulling.
Also the first box (the starter) never lies flat for me it’s going to be kind of folded- that’s okay just use a flat surface to lay our strings in correct place and slowly so second box and it will flatten out
very informative thank you so much 🫂
Have you tried zip ties to finish
Can I use 6 strands? If so can you show me please
My end ones keep unraveling and I’m only getting a 2X 4 box how do I fix this
I have watched it soo many times, I don’t get how to pull

I once saw a guy making 3D roses out of gimp. Do you know how to do anything like that?
i do not, but i would love to learn!
I did this when I was done with NWEA and I got stared at so hard lol
What are the strings called
the brand is rexlace if that helps!
I'm trying to a tornado stitch with 8 colors and I'm unsuccessful. Can someone please show me how? Tt
Just out of curiosity, what happens when you don’t keep the colors parallel? Does the stitch not work or does it give a different design?
the stitch does not hold and gets all tangled
I can't get it 😢
Keep trying, you will. 😊 ❤🧡💛✌🏽

Tired 90 times and still can't do it. I suck.
This video is helpful but not for me I am bad at everything 😅
