Reactivity Training: When and What to do

Here we go over just a brief example, with our small dog that has leash reactivity, on how to and when to handle your dog and a situation. When you’re training reactivity, you want to be able to teach your dog how to make an appropriate choice when faced with a trigger. This takes time and space. But you also must train your dog and yourself how to handle and be handled. Not always do we have all the time and space in the world, and for those situations we must be able to handle our dog to prevent a reaction. We must be proactive, and we must train ourselves to be proactive and clear.
