I really like watching your detailing videos. One question, why you don't use the clay bar for prep before ceramic coating? It is necessary to do? Thanks and keep it up.
hey Vermijl! I see you using different products and techniques on every car, but is there a specific reason for this? is it just to showcase different techniques and for viewer entertainment or is there a practical use to it? I'm trying to find the most effective way to clean my car but I get confused on which products to use and in which order. and as for this video, what's the point of polishing a new car? the clear coat should still be in perfect shape without any marring right? thank you in advance!
Even brand new you can have scraches on the paint. So polishing a brand new car remove the light scraches, bring extra shine and clean the paint as well
Who produces those wheel guides? I want also to buy a set for my BMW, they are really making wheels exchange easier, I always struggle to align them while they are heavy..
Hi, just want to ask if you still wash your car after polishing it or after paint correction before applying the coat? if no, how did you deal with compound dust? thanks
Personally what I do is, use a compressor to remove the coumpound dust, then I use alcohol to remove and clean the compound on the paint. I don’t wash the vehicle after because I’m worry about water that may drop qu’il I’m doing the coating.
Hi Vermijl, i've been wondering whether using wash mitt or wash sponge to avoid creating swirl marks on paint surface especially on black car. May i know which one works the best? Thanks!
Probably he does on a maintenance wash, when the car has ceramic coating. Deionised water is kind of expensive so generally we use this for final rinse, it takes 2-3 minutes.
Have you made any modifications to your foam cannon like the orifice?? I run a bigboi washr flo and a NV snow cannon and i cant get get thick foam like that. And ive tried different snow foams
I’m using our foam cannon which we have available in our webshop and store. Haven’t made any modifications to it. You should get the same amount of foam when using the WashR Flo.
@@VermijlCarDetail thanks mate Really enjoying your content BTW. I'd like to see a video on how your business came about, how you built it up, how your pricing structure works and just general information/guidance/tips for any aspiring detailers (like myself) Im in the process of putting together a business plan but I would like some pro tips! I have been by dealers of cheap to sky high. The guy has a 5 gallon bucket with his wash soap. In the 5 gal. bucket is a stick and on the end of that stick is a bristle brush. Dealer does not care wash it and get it sold.
That’s right, but that’s where quality/hardness of the paint comes into play. Most Mercedes paints are fairly hard, so they won’t get completely swirled up from a wash or 2 (even if done incorrectly)
You can but it’s better to polish, it clean the paint, remove scraches and bring extra shine. And don’t forget, always claybar the paint before polishing.

Excuse me, but Mercedes arriving at the dealer in good condition? Most of the Mercedes cars we have to clean at the dealership are completely trashed... dirt that has etched the paint, scuff marks, a lot of paint defects like oxidation, etching of the paint etc. A lot of times the entire car has to be polished just to be able to deliver the car to the customer. More than once we actually have had to sand certain spots because polishing alone would not even get rid of the defects... I think currently Mercedes is the worst brand regarding paint that I have cleaned... they are left way too long out in the open without any protection 🤦🏻♂️ mostly the darker colours, silver for example is nearly never a problem Nice detail though, looked brand new after! Lol
You’re right, but I was talking about how they are delivered to the customer (from the dealership, not to the dealership). Still way better than most other brands. I bought a new Mercedes a couple months ago and I know exactly how dirty they arrive at the dealership, because I asked them to not touch the car at all. I got the full experience 😀
@VermijlCarDetail the dealerships are very strict regarding the standard to deliver the car to the customer, that is true! I just got flashbacks to sanding etched paintwork when you said that haha, that's why I commented 🙈 but when they are clean and polished, they are very nice to look at! I forgot already that you got you own Mercedes straight from the dealer, just PDId, but nothing else
