Molly Hooper was only meant to be in the first episode, for the whip and coffee scene, to give a glimps of Sherlock's 'social' skills (or the lack of it) but Moffat and Gatiss (the writers) thought the actress played Molly so well and wrote her in for the other episodes. It's the only character playing in all seasons of this show, that Arthur C. Doyle didn't create.
You asked about their parents... There is an American version of Sherlock where he works with the NYPD... His father is a recurring character in that series. It's actually quite good, too. It's called, "Elementary" (2012-2019).
I was looking forward to this one!! Also just fyi, all 4 seasons have 3 episodes, there's a special (but important to plot) episode between seasons 3 and 4 called 'The Abominable Bride' which some services include in season 3 and some in season 4. Even though you probably won't, I hope you don't miss it! There's also a little 'mini-episode' of like 15 minutes called 'Many Happy Returns' which is 100% skippable and takes place between seasons 2 and 3. It's uploaded on the official channel on RUclips.
Ahhhh yes, we only looked once and Netflix showed more than 3 so we just figured there was more episodes that season haha but we will watch the 2 extras as well !!
Can you believe it? Netflix dumped Sherlock meaning I am Sherlockless! Now to scramble to buy the set... while I'm at it I should get the Blu-ray player and go Blu-ray all the way! Heard it is way better at 24fps. Okay guys I tried my best to follow along and like you I was lost until the end. Lara Pulver as Irene Adler is a stoke of genius, she ran with this character! Until next time... eh, ordered the DVD set.
@@user-yf6hb8oj7w In North America Sherlock and Dexter have been taken off platform. For Dexter it's because Showtime has Dexter: New Blood. Why Sherlock was taken off is a mystery.
Aaahhh 📱👄💨 BTW, could you guys pause the video while watching this so you can slip in conversation? Might help with the inability to get a word in and still pay attention.
Or they can watch it all over again, with family/friends who haven't seen the show, cause the amazing thing about this show, is discovering new things when watching it again and again and again and...
I think the end of the episode was just an imagination of Sherloch who, when he grabbed the phone, first saw what really happened before Adler dies then, instead of the real ending, imagined a funny one that made him laugh ! After that, he pronunsiated her name sadly : THE Woman.
He rescued her and staged her death before Mycroft found out she was dead. John telling him she was in America was confirmation that the big wigs fell for his deception.

My favorite episode in the series. Super satisfying ending.
Definitely our favorite one so far!
And suddenly the ringtone of every Sherlock fan was Stayin Alive
don’t call me out like this, it went off in a public library once 😭
I went with the moan for texts instead! 😳
There is an original story to it: A Scandal in Bohemia. There are a royal house and incriminating photos involved and Irene Adler is there too.
"I would have you, right here, on this desk, until you begged for mercy twice". Lara Pulver fucking killed it as Irene Adler
what blue my mind when I watched the later ones is he saved her so he would have an in on Moriarty's network for later.

YESS it's so hard to find fans of elementary out there but it's definitely my favorite Sherlock adaptation!

Did you ever do season 3/4?
Yup! They kept getting blocked by copyright, so they should be up on our Patreon for free!
