I want to thank you for this video,,,I searched and searched the web to find out what kind of pad these inks have,,,Now I have the answer!! I am going to make my own pads with the full set of refills that I just bought...I am so excited!!!! BTW its a felt pad everyone.
Hi Nicole - Debbie. Thank you for the video tutorial. It's really helpful. I just received my oval set of inks and layering stamps! Can't wait to get my hands on these beauties and create. I will post my creations on the website!
My Paper Trey Ink "Fresh Snow" hybrid ink pad has the same case as yours, its absolutely identical. It seems that you use the same manufacturer to make your ink pads.
Have you guys tried using a fine.emery board over the top of the clear stamp. Just lightly sand with the sander or very fine sanding paper. Do not rub hard you don't want to damage the stamp! Also I found that the paper quality is important! Try using a smooth Bristol or watercolor! Let me know what you think!

Just FYI 7 months later the mini ink cubes are still very hard to open. I had to use a razor blade to pry open some of them. To me it feels like only a certain batch is effected by this. I recently bought 10 sets, only 4 of the 10 sets were super hard, requiring razor blade to open. I am considering trading in the purple one because it's still hard to open even after a couple times of prying.
I was making Jennifer Mcguire's vellum card. Stamped the interior card in the gray set. I heat set the embossing powder and a day later all the Grey ink turned green. Any reason for this? Thanks
We will check and see what the problem could be! Our dye inks are water based, so maybe the heat embossing with embossing powder could be a part of the reason.
I have a lot of problems with my stamps going blotchy. Even after stamping the image several times before stamping on my card. Using versamark on it (a tip from Jennifer McGuire) helps, but to be honest, it still looks a bit blotchy. I'm using the little cubes. What am I doing wrong?
Ilona Mollema I'm having the same problem and I've also tried Jennifer's trick. I even purchase some of the larger ink pads just to see if it was a fault with the mini cubes but the big ones stamp the same way. 😓 I've stopped using mine.
Kylie Newcombe That's exactly what is happening with me right now! I hardly use them anymore and start using another brand. I really love the Altenew Stamps! But sadly, buying the ink was (in my eyes) a waste of money.
I agree... I am having a lot of problems with these. They are blotchy 100% of the time even after trying with versamark. I have tried stamping off and multiple times but so far so bad.
Hello Ilona, depending on what images you are inking up it can give you some blotchiness - especially if they are brand new or larger solid images. Sometimes stamp seasoning really helps as well! (please check out the suggestions here: altenew.com/pages/faq under the crafting questions)
I've used solid stamps old and new. I constantly get the linen pad impression throughout the solid stamps I feel like there isn't enough ink on the ink pads. I've been storing my pads upside down to see if that helps but I've moved onto different ink companies now 😓
CAN'T STAND the design of the labels on these inks....ALL BLACK, CAN'T SEE the colours properly and that HORRIBLE script font that is totally ILLEGIBLE, PLEASE CHANGE THE PACKAGING, until then I wont be purchasing
Thank you for sharing your opinion. We will make sure to forward your suggestion to our team for future improvements/consideration on our oval inks. In the meantime, you are welcome to refer to our color charts and color swatches for better look of the colors and their names, provided on our website (altenew.com/pages/color-swatches). Hope this helps!

Glad to know they have updated the labels. I have the old labels and have such a hard time reading/seeing the color!
Thanks for this video- I had noticed that first time stamping with the background stamp wasn't even....was blotchy. Now I know how to remedy that!
Thank you! I am so happy there is reinkers 😃
love the new cube labels! I need(want) every color!!!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the Altenew products! :) I don't have all of the inks yet...working on it. ;) Thanks for the idea about labeling and storage.
So happy to see that you have re-inkers :)

They're the best inks ever, especially for clear stamps 👌
Thank you, that was excellent. I’ll be using those re-inkers.
Thank you so much for this informational video. The new labels are excellent!

I find the ink cubes really difficult to open.

Love your inks. Can you send web site for the box/ case for the mini ink pads to buy? Thank you
Here you go! altenew.com/collections/inks :)
I buy my cases at Michael's for $1.00 when on sale (only $2 reg. price). Great deal!
Marilyn Bailey Thank's. Going there tomorrow😄

What are the dimensions of the large stamp pads?
Great video! How do you clean your acrylic stamps after using these inks?
Nicole uses either baby wipes (she loves Kirkland brand) or absorber!
