Dang the lines got changed but the voiced dialogue is still the same Also as a modder myself, it looks like they used the default lines that exist for when someone makes a modded civ with a leader that has no custom dialogue….
It's not a bad outfit, my problem with it is that it's obvious that the new outfit wasn't what was originally intended just from looking at how he moves with it
Kinda dumb how they drastically changed the translations yet kept the original voicelines. It makes it feel more like a mod then any official Civ leader.
The way his character model was obviously made for that other more relaxed outfit makes him look kinda silly in this one. I’m getting less “imposing muslim general” vibes and a more “Baba is taking me Jihading.”
they should've added a new leader of Arabia rather than using false dubs to give Saladdin a different personality that doesn't fit him, nice design tho
@@jarlGudmunder The definition of "Arab" is notoriously hard to pin down. Some people will insist that only people from the Arab peninsula are true Arabs, leaving out most of Egypt, the Maghreb, Mesopotamia and the Levant! A lot people pin it down to a linguistic definition rather than an ethnic one. And then you have the Arab League's definition that has Somalia and Comoros in it for some reason even though nobody is buying it.
@@jarlGudmunder Nobody denies that he's a Kurd. The issue is whether he is Kurdish AND Arab or whether being Kurdish disqualifies him from being Arab. People will debate this all day long. To this day there are Egyptians and Lebanese, who, despite speaking Arabic in daily life, will insist they are not Arabs, but rather Copts and Phoenicians!
So they changed the translations but not the lines being said? Kinda weird
I dunno which would be less appealing-the dead silence of Catherine/Teddy or them putting new lines under old dialogue.

lmao
It was probably an oversight, they fixed it with the latest patch.
Saladin's original outfit looks comfy new outfit looks ridiculous but ridiculous fitting for a Warrior nonetheless
Well I mean I don't think Saladin would be wearing his original outfit into the heat of battle lol
What do you mean "ridiculous"? What would you say to Poundmaker's outfit then?
Dont get why it is ridicolous
I think his new outfit looks better

Waiting for Tokugawa and Nader Shah.
Will try to get at least one of them done tonight! My day job is getting in the way lol.
Why he have a chichak helmet 14th century islamic helmet on a men who was dead in 1199 AD

Damn, he is an Arab but why does his outfit look a bit Mongol(ish?)
Funny you say that because Saladin was around before the Mongol invasions so maybe the Muslim armies just had similar looking armor
He isn’t Arab, he is a Kurd, and that doesn’t look at all mongolish.
