Pretty cool jet, loved it since Lo-Mac days. But really showing its age in the more modern DCS scenarios and MP. Only the S carries Fox 3 missiles and no Datalink on either off the three makes it a tricky pony. And the trim is so course it's a pita to get it to fly straight and level or stop the roll if you fire only one side, realy wish ED would make the trim a bit finer. And the FM in general is a bit weird feeling. Loves to wheely on takeoff and have to be insanely gentle above 20k feet or lovedto creep up the nose into a stall. And if you go fast it just wants to start to climb, which is realistic iirc and at some point you will just run out of nose down authority and it keeps climbing. And with the F-16 and F-18 having HMCS and Aim 6 X the old hemet sight advantage it had is pretty much gone too. i still love to take it out every now and then. They are most deadly staying off radar very low, and attack from below with IR's.
All good points. It's a cold war jet that's designed to be used as a point defense interceptor and screening aircraft. It's outdated now, but this thing will turn around itself and fly up its own tail pipe! The full fidelity fulcrum will be tons of fun, but we'll be limited to 80s servers or suffer the same fate as the fulcrum over Iraq and Bosnia.
I realy love flying the MiG-29S in DCS, especially with some mods, to add custom weapon loadouts, like harm or the amram, and than use it in Ukraine like scenarios. Awesome Video, keep it going!
