- Interested in the New Jerusalem Version (NJV)? Never heard of it? Well to come to the place that has a light-hearted, surface-level review of its binding! This edition is REALLY nice. There is just something about Royal Jongbloed's construction combined with that bone-colored PRIMA Bible paper that makes me swoon. Just be advised... the U.S. retailer only carries the brown imitation edition. If you're looking for one of the others, you'll have to order from overseas. Shipping as really quick though, and reasonably priced (all things considered).
The best Bible out there, is the one you read! May God bless you and your Bible studies!

I love this Bible especially reading the Old Testament.
I just ordered one. I can't wait😊
Thank you for the video. I just purchased this Bible from the messianic marketplace in the United States. Yep, still can only get the Brown Imitation leather. I'm considering ordering the black leather from the publisher just so I have a second copy in case I wear out my 1st copy. Better yet, then I have one to give away.
I already love this Bible. It is easy to read and the translation is very enjoyable.✝️📖🙏🤍
Love it! I wonder if someone has done a thorough comparison of it to the TLV. The states goals are almost exact; just with different underlying Greek.
The seven species refers to Deuteronomy 8:7-8 which lists these seven species of foods that God would give them in Israel. These are symbolic of Israel and its abundance for the Jewish people. It had even greater significance in ancient Biblical times in connection with some of the more agriculturally related holidays.
Thank you for the insight!
Just put that translation on my TBR!
I feel like Bibles should be well loved in a respectful way.
Very interesting
Protect your identity? You’re telling me that I’ve been watching all this time and your real name isn’t Rusty Bibles?! I’m shocked and appalled! 🤣🤣
You'd be surprised! Some peoples' kids... HA!
I'm going to order two. You sold me. I hope they can accept my order from overseas.
I'm not gonna lie... I love the progression of your comments! 😆
@@RustyBibles These Bibles are beautiful and if it weren't for your videos I would have never known they existed. I've been a Catholic all my life but slowly gravitating to Messianic Judaism. Ten years ago I bought a copy of The Holy Scriptures according to the masoretic text. I love it.
A friend of mine is beginning to read the Bible. I'm going to get her this. It'll be her first Bible. I would imagine some people will try to steer her away from this, stating "she will be confused" but I think this is a beautiful to start with. What do you think?
I try to see what the person is like intellectually, and what they're looking for. My go-to translation for first time readers is the CSB. If they aren't super book smart, I might go with the NLT to make it a little easier to understand. If they have a lot of questions about how Christianity fits into life, I'll get the NLT Life Application Study Bible, and if they have a bunch of hard questions, I'll get them the ESV Study Bible. Any Bible will work though. God will do what He needs to for them.
Do you know of a place that I can read the text of this Bible online? I’m curious to know how 1Corinthians, chapter 6 reads.
Great video btw! I couldn’t find many others but I’m so interested in this Bible.
The translation doesn't appear to be online anywhere. Shame.
Love the translation! As well as the Hebrew order of the TaNaK. I enjoy it more than the ISR since it omits over 100 verses in Psalms and has some odd spellings for names, especially the name of Yeshua.
I have a review coming up for the ISR, and didn't know about the removed verses until after I did the review. I was saddened to hear about that, and have no idea why they would choose to remove them.
@@RustyBibles I emailed them to inquire if that but they never responded.
Technically, the deleted parts are headers in christian bibles, so comparing to a christian bible no verses are deleted. However, the headers are labeled as verse 1 in hebrew bibles. I believe it was an oversight when trying to make a clean text Bible.
I agree that I don’t like the Hebrew for Yeshua (they used the hebrew spelling rendered Yahusha) but that’s a minor point to me because I got used to saying in my own mind Yeshua when reading Jesus. And I can do that just as easy in the ISR.
It has some issues but it also has a lot of strengths.
I really hope the NJV makes an updated version with wider margins or even a wide margin edition, because there is zero space for note taking.
I really enjoy writing notes in my Bibles. If I don’t write down what the Holy Spirit shows me immediately, I can easily forget.
@@vrab. no, the superscripts are not headers in Christian Bibles they are in the Hebrew Manuscripts and are apart of the text. The headers or titles we see in our English translations are entirely different.
But I agree, I would also like to see bolder print. The paper quality is nice but the light print makes it hard on my eyes.
The NJV is an update of the 1901 American Standard Version, not a new translation per se. Noticed an embarrassing fact watching the review: in the list of the seven species, they translated 'תאריכים' (ta'arikhim) as 'dates' instead of 'תמרים' (tmarim), the latter referring to a fruit, while the former denotes days of the month. LOL! It seems like a case of Google Translate gone wrong. Perhaps someone could reach out to the publisher and have a Hebrew speaker review it for accuracy.
Excellent catch! I wonder if there was some googling going on!
What does "James" 2:2 say in it? does it say meeting or synagogue?
It uses synagogue.
Nice. Thats the correct translation. The Jewish believers (Nazarenes) met in the SYNAGOGUES. which many versions go out of the way to obscure and hide. @@RustyBibles
How much in US dollars?
You'll have to use Google to do the conversion. It changes daily.
Does this contain apocrypha?
No.
Does this have New Testament?
Yes.
Which ISBN?
They don't have an ISBN, but here is the link to it: www.njvbible.com/product-page/calf-split-leather-black
@@RustyBibles Do you sell on Amazon? Well, I'm from Brazil.
@@joceliosantos2722 No. Only eBay. But I think that website ships internationally.
If it's Jewish I don't understand why this includes Gospel?
"Jewish" in this instance would refer more to the people group, and not the religion. You mentioned Messianic Jews in your previous comment. They would cherish the New Testament, however Orthodox Jews (and other sects) would find little value in it.
@@RustyBibles thank you 🙂
