This is probably the best place to start if you’re curious about the Jazzmaster and want as authentic an experience as possible without spending a ton. I used to be intimidated by these guitars with all their idiosyncratic features compared to Strats and Teles, but once I got to know my Squier CV Jazzmaster, I’ve come to appreciate its quirks. Among all my guitars, this is the one I pick up the most.
Me too! I was sure I'd prefer the Jaguar but I've barely touched it compared to this. Mine are both late '21 models. Didn't know I was a Jazzmaster guy. Can't put it down, now.
A lot of reviewers say the CV Jazzmaster needs a shim in the neck pocket -- has that been your experience, and do you know if this copy had the shim added?
Why the heck would they put a shim in it plays fine? no issue with string tension. Cork sniffers follow each other like sheep 🐑🤣 what bs reason did they give? Sorry I don't watch other guitar channels for reasons like this
How would you say pickups compare to the old japanese fenders , I had one as backup for my 62 and found it shrill, this squier sounds more like real thing to me
I actually ordered one of these about a year ago was close to $700-800 Australian. I didn't even get it home before I had played it for an hour or so and absolutely hated the tremolo system. So I returned it and got the offset telecaster paranormal. I'd stay away from tremolos.
I'm a fixed bridge guy. Even on my strats. Never had luck with 'wobble bars!' Like gay bars - once you use one, things are never quite the same afterwards!
Worst guitars ever made. Should never have got past quality control
🤣🤣
what happened to yours?
get it set up correctly by a professional tech and I guarantee you'll change your mind.
Au contraire my friend. Blameth not the tool...
A good tradesman never blames his tools 💯

I've got the vintage modified version, how do they compare to them Rob? Is there any real difference?
The CV has bone nut, narrow tall frets, better bridge and fuller sounding Alico fender designed pups
You can upgrade the spring in the tremolo to make more responsive with its vibrato.
....or just wiggle harder 🤣
@@theguitarmanifesto tried that , then just went full mastery bridge and trem 🌝
Very sonic youth
Heck yeah 🎸🤘
Is it ever, this video convinced me to buy one.
Awesome deal! and yes a very decent gig bag usually the gig bag is cheaply made.. that one looks nice and durable...
Oh yeah it was a solid bag and a good find 🎸👌
This guitar surprised the hell out of me. It's now my No.1 guitar!
Cracking guitars

I have one and just love it. A lot of folks say they are a surf guitar. But they are a very good Country guitar. Got a hell of a twang.
These are so cool!!! Need one soon!! Hahah among a few others not yet tried.
Get on it dude 🤘🤣💯🎸
Gotta love a jingle jangly Jizzmaster! 😂
That jangle can get you in the eye 😮
Is what you're playing original? If not, what is it? It sounds great, and nice playing!
It's one of my own jams, thank you very much 🎸😎
@@theguitarmanifesto Wow, I really liked it 👌👌
What amp was used for the demo? Sounds incredible
Thanks I use garageband
Oh mate she’s a beauty aswell 👌🏼👌🏼
She sure is 💯🤘
I like that riffage! 👍
Glad you like it 💯🎸
1:47 jizzy jizzmaster 🤣🤣
Struggles are real 💦🤣

These are very full sounding and handle overdrive well similar to a p90 sound
@@theguitarmanifesto thats good, I think japanese fender basically used strat pickup in big cover
What's a quid?
Slang for pound
Have one of these. Guitar needs the action to be lowered with a neck shim at the very least. Outside of that, great value.
That's a strange one
Pretty damn good guitar all around, only thing I'd change is the pickguard because that tort looks lifeless.
They are cool guitars, it does pop in the flesh
