  • main jet! can also cause low rev 4stroking, not only the idle jet. welcome to the si carb weired world. mj too rich! & idle still too lean.
    a fact that everybody who often sets si carb knows as normal, but a lot of people are not aware of that. if u now start playing with the idle jet, it wont get better, it cant, cause in this case it is the main jet.
    best of all:
    1) 4 stroking cause of too big idle jet
    BUT ALSO
    2) idle jet too lean
    sounds weired, but if u think it trough it is possible. shown at the end of the video and in another extra guide

    in your previous video you said that lean pilot jet is the main cause of engine seizing. the pilot jet is lean but it is still four stroking. so will it seize on WOT?

      Cause of a too lean idle jet. the fourstroking is caused by a too rich main jet, but the ij is still to lean, just listen to how long it needs to come down to normal idle = ij is too lean= closing slide after full throttle = too lean = seizing

      @@FreakMoPed8 Yes... I am just commenting on the old videos because the same exact thing happened to me yesterday and the piston seized. luckily it was just a soft seize and I was able to scuff the piston and good to go.

      @@FreakMoPed8 after watching your video then I realized my mistake and was able to rectify it. I am not very familiar with this type of downdraft carb, since I came from a modern 2 stroke motorcyle background. so it baffles me a bit on how to set up the carb properly. thanks for the info bro.

    thats is new px? what diffrent with px exclusive 2?

      its a 2003 or 2004 millenium. whats a exclusive 2? i only know the px:2011 version

    Excuse me, is main jet correct at full throttle or is rich anyway? I have a 187 polini with this behavior but opening choke in 4th full gas cause rev increase instead of throttle so i can't go smaller main jet, so what?

      You need a bigger main jet.
      Dont forget about a fast flow tap and the 2,5mm mj bore

      @@FreakMoPed8 already have fft and larger bore (pinasco ER), any suggestions for small opening 4 stroking? Do BE2 and increase mj and air corrector limit the problem? Thanks, love your videos! If i was not so far i would like bring my vespa to your garage... ;-)

      @@FreakMoPed8 p125x '79 12v ac, Polini 187Al out of the box, Polini crank 60/105mm, Malossi power up clutch reinforced, Malossi 23/64 straigth teeth, Polini original , electroninc conversion with P200E flywheel, tuned reed valve and transfer ports.
      The carb is a pinasco 24ER with T5 filter, 2,5 mm chamber bore 160/B3/130 (before previous suggestion 125) 55/160, shutter nr.04. Is too rich After cold start and 4th gear cruising speed, if more than 1/4 gas opening everithing is fine, great acceleration and regular sound! (Hope is everythig understandable, cheers! 😉)

      the transmission is quite long. a well set si carb does 4 stroke at low slide openijg. Its needed. Its normal. U cant solve it as it is a cropped compromise carb

    Sir if you can give me your opinion on my problem.My lml 150 stock cylinder and exaust,timing 18 btdc,SI carb 20 20.40/130 ij,100 mj,be3 and 160 air,mixture 2 turns out,idle good and stable.From start riding to about 55 kmh bike 4stroking like a motherfucker,but 100 mj is still lean mix.?i'm go crazy

      Exhaust blocked?
      Ignition damage?

      Exhaust is not cloged up.Cdi,coil and pickup are new,stator showing good resistance on multimeter.Maybe weak spark causing misfire,because bad stator,is that possible?Thank you for your help.
