Get landowner permission! Great advice for all outdoor endeavors! I have two favorite methods, 1- dice up a couple slicers of bacon , small onion sauté together with a light amount of old bay seasoning, 2- cream fiddlehead soup

Here in Central NH I used to be able to pick a five gallon bucket full during my lunch hour break. Except the day the State Police Swat Team surrounded me with dogs and long guns and rushed me. Luckily as a NH Fish and Game wildlife biologist I had a work hat on. That, and only that, kept me from the ground and no doubt cuffed. A local police officer misidentified me as an escaped felon as I was parking, and he was going by. The story is on my YT channel nhfishandwildlife.

Nice video Joe. I got lucky and found a pile of fiddleheads this year. You should make a part 2. Show us how Donnie cooks fiddleheads.

I mistakenly believed all Mainers knew all about fiddleheads . I'm very surprised that Donny hasn't done this all his life . ...... How about fiddlehead flavor Donny donuts . There's a million dollar idea .
