The other was a PG movie with talking animals that also reinvented their cast. There is a lot to compare with both, taking and remaking a established IP while seeing audience reception is definitely huge. Results for Velma and Puss in Boots last wish, are absolutely huge, animation studios bandwagon and work off that.

The writing, the actual characterizations of the main cast. Even the side characters are well done. There's a proper arc, and it was so good that it beat out AVATAR 2. While the two are similar in theory, in practice, they are nothing alike. If anything, they're polar opposites. Velma appeals to NOBODY. Absolutely NOBODY. I've never seen unity quite like that when it came down to hating this show. Meanwhile, Puss has a much wider appeal, both kids and adults. And it was met with nearly universal praise.
