Heyo! I did ride this and I would like to add to your argument that I think this ride is very lateral and positive g focused while manta is a lot more airtime focused and that is what I think is the biggest factor in distinguishing the two rides. Great video BTW
Having visiting SeaWorld San Diego earlier this week, I can say Arctic Rescue is one of my favorite family coasters! The Wild Arctic exhibit was also pretty neat.
Screw the dang max heights- it's not a family coaster if your family can't ride it.
Fr, my dad is 6’6 and he gets turned down from 33% of coasters cause he’s too tall
Yeah, I technically shouldn't have ridden it since I'm between 6'5" and 6'6", but they let me. I was definitely ducking a few times to be extra sure I'd be safe. I'm sure there's a safety margin, but it was a nail biter.
This is actually the ride that made me appreciate laterals more
I rode it first day of pass member preview I love this ride my sister dose not like roller coasters but this is her favorite ride in the park!
@parkbros I went on this ride 2 days ago and sat on that exact spot you mentioned, 1st row right seat. OMG IT WAS SO FUN. I noticed on that 180 degree turn after the first launch I got a little pop of airtime. That seat also seems to make the ride feel more snappy on those turns and I love it
Prob my fav coaster in the park tbh. Went in with very low expectations and was blown away. Front row was wild. I went into Manta with high expectations today and was lowk disappointed. Single rider on Arctic Rescue is great and really made me love it even more.
hmmm about the foot well thing...Me being a big guy 6'3 and wearing size 14 boots...might cause an issue with this ride...haven;t gone down to try it out yet!

This looks like a great addition for that park. I just wish they had better theming outside. The SeaWorld parks in general have been getting worse with that in recent years.
The only thing this has on Manta is length and the snap out of the second launch, still great but I prefer Manta for stronger launch and that one ejector hill
