I believe the reason they didn’t have brake calipers on this Porsche was because back then brake pads and calipers were too expensive to produce, so their racers were taught to win or not come back if they lost. They would rather sacrifice the car and the drivers. (Source: “trust me bro”)😂 Anyway, another great build!👍

Very nice build. Thanks for the little notes explaining the materials used, the paint, for example. It appears that Hasegawa did a pretty good job producing this kit; kudos to them for clean molds!

@@bobyoung1698 thank you, glad you found those helpful. The kit is showing its age a bit but it still seems like a pretty good model for being many years old now and re-released so many times with different decals.

Very nice result. And about the safety belts, you made them from scratch, does not matter when they are not 100% correct, you have made then. You can buy everything, build the fun is sometimes putting something from yourself in it. And they don,t look to bad. Please do not be to harsch on yourself. The perfect kit has not been build yet,and never will be build.100 pair of eyes will always see something. Thanks for showing us you build

@@scaleffect 1 question.Does that stand alone spoiler parts comes with the kit/????Don t worry,i am 61 years old and still learning everyday. I have here the Tamiya Sauber C9 still to build. Moving from streetcars to racecars slowly. But i like the livery on your kit. Will order it this month when i do my big buy in Japan. Dude, that thing is awesome! I know there a parts you are not happy with (my Porsche is the same), but it turned out killer.
Oh...and I did the exact same thing you did with the tires and the clear. Try brushing on Vallejo Matt Varnish after you've put the tire decals and they are on the wheel.

lol. Race cars are for going not stopping. I’ve said it on plenty of other platforms but awesome job, my friend. You did some wonderful work on this one. You’re ready to tackle anything now, no matter what you say. If you have deep scratches in clear parts ever you can go even harsher than 8000. I went down to 2000 on my last airplane canopy and went up from there turned out very shiny and clear indeed lol. Anyways. Great build and great video.

@@scaleffect yeah. It’s all clear plastic you know, so as long as you’re getting it smoothed back out completely then it’s no problem. And with a quick polish at the end to blend the micro scratches it’s even better!! And you’re welcome!

Excellent build video and I appreciate your honesty with build and paint issues. I'm curious as to why you wear gloves at all stages of paint and assembly. I understand painting of course, but assembly and detail paint just seems like I'd be all thumbs without that tactile feedback.

@@wayneburgess6591 I'm an amateur so disclosing mistakes is part of learning. I wear gloves in my videos because I have very bad hands and fingers, I worry people will find them distracting and not like the video as a result. It is very inconvenient at times but it's better than nasty comments I suppose. Thanks for watching I appreciate it it
