I made some of this about mid season and I have used it everytime I go into the woods. And I will say it absolutely works really well. Appreciate the video man.
I haven't done this in years but while growing up I used to gather fresh pine needles and store with my hunting gear in a big ole trash bag for about a month before hunting season and yes it works
I actually just started doing that but in a container it’s been 2 an half months since my gear has been in it I have one for my boots and one for my clothes and backpacks and waders
That was a very informative video and best of all it's free you can't beat that thank you for your time thank you for posting, from a hunter in Boone county West Virginia. 🦌💥
For years I have made cover scent with red cedar since I have it growing everywhere. I wash my clothes in baking soda only then add some of the red cedar scent into the rinse water. Use the remaining to refresh the scent onto your clothes before going out hunting.
It keeps for a longtime as long as it’ stays cool. I’ve still got some of this batch left and I still use it. Kept it in the fridge lol. I don’t think it matters when u make it as long as it stays cool.
@@donforsey9509depends on the material I suppose. Something extremely dense for cold weather probably wouldn’t be great because it would repel water at first only to end up with the fibres getting filled with debris when it finally gets through. A simple cheesecloth or wash cloth will do or an old t shirt rag

I have an old small bucket in my tote with my cloths. Nothin like natural scent. I do use some other stuff also but that natural is hard to beat

It works. Ul never fully fool a deers nose. Somtimes I think it’s a confidence thing lol. Thanks for watching.
Good idea im gonna try it !
It has been good to me. Which I always hunt wind regardless but for those deer that come in diff direction it has helped a lot.
Did you try it? How did it go??
I do the exact same thing every season. I add acorns, apples and corn…
Now they have the newest gimmick call scent blender for $100!!!
Lol I ordered dirt essential oil to try to make dirt spray also. When it comes in ima try it lol $18 and prob make 100 bottles or more.
Did it ever come in
Great video man. How long does it stay fresh for ? Is it best to do the day before a hunting trip?

Will straining it through a shirt not add smell to it from the soap and fabric softener?? Thanks for the video!!
That particular shirt was washed with my scent laundry detergent. My first scent cover video i mention that when I’m rambling lol.
Ok makes sense lol!!@@jasonskillinngrillin5977
@@jasonskillinngrillin5977what about using your favorite hunting t-shirt as your filter? 2 birds, one stone!
