Great video! Do you always use the traffic objective for ads to solicit donations? Or do you use conversion and optimize for purchase with pixel? What do you find works best? Also do you prefer to group different interests/behaviours in detailed targeting or test interests separate per adset?
Thanks for the comment Ranya… traffic or conversion depends on the charity and their level of commitment with digital marketing. I have had great success with just traffic, but I like conversion best. Adsets again depend on the organization, but I generally group them because sometimes the selections can be limited.
Thanks for this! I've read that you can only add the Donate Now button unless the organization is enrolled into Facebook Payments. Is that true, and if so, is it easy to apply?
I know a few things have changed since I shot this video. I’m actually going to hook a charity up sometime this week with Facebook fundraising, so I will screen record everything I do and put out another video in the next couple of weeks on exactly how to do it ;-)
I have one small ambiguity which is that when we choose "Traffic" as our campaign goal, then Facebook only sends people that are most likely to click the links which is not actually what our goal is for donations, we want people who spends as well not just click links, so my question is that shouldn't we choose our campaign goal as conversion? I know its for ecommerce and shops but we have no choice here.
As of October 2022, Facebook changed things a bit. Under Conversion location, select Facebook Donation. I can’t include links in a comment, but Facebook has a great help section that will walk you through the process. I am also in the process of creating an updated video, which should be out soon 😊

Hi dear I am new here.
Welcome 😊
So helpful. I love the idea of splitting up the ads.
Thanks Kate! I have had great success that way!

Wow I didn’t know that Instagram had their own individual platform for ads
It is fantastic for doing reels or story ads!

Good point Muhammad. I’m going to be doing an update video on ads prior to the holiday campaign season, so I’ll make a note of this 😊

@@CauseSpecialist didn’t find the donate now button. Can you help with this issue?
Thanks
