    Hi! I'm Kimy, a Filipina living in Switzerland. I recently found my passion in climbing last 2019. I've been climbing/bouldering indoors and outdoors across Switzerland ever since. I created this channel so that I can share my climbing journey, including my travels in & out of Switzerland and other wild adventures with my family in the Philippines as well as with my friends all over the world.
    My goal is simple: to inspire others to start climbing; and to show people that with determination, practice and persistence we can achieve success; and to bring you along with me in discovering all the climbing destinations here in Switzerland one climb at a time.
    WELCOME TO MY CLIMBING ADVENTURES!

    Thanks for the great vid! Do you have any idea it's worth going there in February/March regarding the weather?

    • @kimywittmer
      @kimywittmer  2 года назад

      thank you!!☺️ I haven’t been to Albarracin around those times, but it is said to be in good condition for climbing. But weather can sometimes be unreliable. I would go around March to be sure 😊

    Looks like you guys had an awesome trip! Did you make it to the little bakery in town to try their sugar bread? Hope to see you back over our way in Spain soon 😉

    • @kimywittmer
      @kimywittmer  2 года назад +1

      Hi Alex 👋🏽 oh yes! I am so glad that we managed to visit this year. we've been wanting to go to Albarracin since last year. Hmm..yes we saw the bakery but every time we go, there's a line. Were they good? 😊 We'll put it on the list of other things to experience whenever we get to visit again. When are you planning to go back?

    • @AlexTighe
      @AlexTighe 2 года назад +1

      @@kimywittmer Ha yea, there's always a huge line at the bakery! They usually run out of the sugar bread (pan azucar) pretty quick, so what we do is go on a rest day and leave our name so they can have it ready for us to pick up the next day!
      We currently live in Madrid, but actually don't go over to Albarracin that often. When it gets cold, we LOVE granite 😍

    • @kimywittmer
      @kimywittmer  2 года назад +1

      That’s smart!! If their bread is that good that everyone falls in line to get them, I’d also reserve ahead 👍🏾☺️ I’ll remember this so when I come back to Albarracin I can finally taste their pan azucar.
      Ohh, I see. Can you recommend other nice climbing destinations near Madrid? Would be nice to experience those too ☺️

      @AlexTighe 2 года назад +1

      @@kimywittmer La Pedriza is hands down the biggest single area we have (think 3000+ boulders). But really the whole mountain chain an hour north of the city is full of areas like Zarzalejo and Castillo de Bayuela. In summer we have nearby Valsain and then Hoya Moros (two hours from Madrid).
      Maybe you will enjoy this vid we made about our 5 favorite bouldering spots in Spain: ruclips.net/video/7nzxnINzbbo/видео.html 😁

    very interesting! what do you think is the best season? i prefer sunny but not too hot/crowded

    • @kimywittmer
      @kimywittmer  2 года назад

      Hi Anne! We were there a month ago and the weather was great! It’s not too warm and it’s also not too cold. There’s fresh breeze when you’re in the shade but sunny all week long ☺️ I’d say come around Sept/Oct. Based on our experience, the area wasn’t crowded from Monday-Friday. But on Saturday the place was sooo full of people. So avoid weekends for sure 👍🏾
