They're 100% listening to our conversations. I've brought up things offhand to friends like vitamins they recommend, and before I even had a chance to google the vitamin there were ads for it on my social media. Watch what you say and turn your phone off whenever you can if you want privacy. Oh, and smart TVs listen too. Be wary of any modern electronic.

Even my android listens. I live alone with my cat. I had run out of tampons and was searching for one I may have hidden away somewhere. I said out loud to my cat " I hate being on my stupid period!" Then about 10 mins later got on RUclips and the first ad that popped up was for k-cups. You tell me that's not freaky. Or tell me my cat decided to look up "How to help my human when she is PMSing"

ABC.....IT DOES NOT MATTER WHETHER ANY OF THOSE THINGS ARE TURNED OFF...IT STILL LISTENS!!! The only way to have it not listen is to not use and put it in a farday bag. It just boggles the mind how people are so stupid about how big brother this tech now is. Experts laugh at this video.

@@georgehenry76 look i am not arguing your basic point, but how you arrived to it.
That's like saying "speak of the devil" and believing magical elves are always making the people you talk about appear into the scene soon after or during the conversation.
      1. Confirmation bias. We have millions of thoughts per day. I can guarentee you that not even a percent of a percent of them manifest as an ad.
      2. Metadata. You message your friends about your needs. This text information is gathered. When you leave a website, the cookies track where you go after you close the website or what other apps or software you use, this is sold to a large corporation where they compile the math.
      3. You compare to others. If you fit basic criteria of other people or behave similarly to them, chances are you are buying similar things and having probably the exact same conversations. We as people arent really all that unique. Why do you think everyo always says "the weather in other parts of my country follows this pattern but here it goes by its own rules" or "if you dont like the weather, wait 15 minutes, and it will change" because really, we are all mostly the same regardless of where we come from.
      4. You are different from others. If the world was this simple that men bought battle axes and women bought bows and arrows, then the only calculation you need is "not female" to advertise you knife polishing equipment. Dissimilarities from others is much more complex but the same context.
Other people's information, even if its different from yours describes you. This is the crisis with others sharing their information or having it stolen. It indirectly describes you. Especially if they farm crumbs.
Basically computers have the mathematical capability to be Sherlock Holmes in real life. They just need access to the entire web of information.

Oh my god, this is irresponsible journalism.
Its CALLED MATH. Humans are incredibly average, predictable and much more similar than different. Unfortunately, most of the magic in life is mundane and very calculable. While human behavior is somewhat hard to predict, our circumstances are easy.
Theres no devices listening to you. Thats inefficient and a waste of time. Think of BBCs sherlock holmes. The mathematics companies can employ work exactly like this fictional character. A person cant do it...but analysis can. Its magnitudes cheaper to NOT record you, just calculate your behaviors and movement. For the average person, your situation is predictable over 90% of the time.

They watch everyone you fool. People always trying to create groups that want to take over and they need to know who is who and details of details for everyone's pattern behavior.

@@terminatedaccount8750 dude being the most powerful is the most vulnerable position. Unless youre kim jong-un you cant be all-powerful. Its a self contradiction. The only people that believe in that are people who have no concept of logistics and need someone to be in control just to feel safe because they arent intelligent and everything is confusing to them. Even people with high amounts of status and power leave it voluntarily because its so unfree. The Japanese princess and English prince left recently just to marry someone.
Anyway, like i said, theres nothing more to gain from watching someone than simply using cookies and matrix analysis in hyperdimensions just to figure the determinants of people's situations/behaviors.
Surely any "elite" or "powerful" organization can understand that spending $100 for a whole lot of nothing (video/audio surveillance) is nowhere near as good as $0.50 cents for a jackpot of information (raw data en masse).
