You can try cleaning inside the coil where it goes on the plug, and putting new dielectric grease/gel inside the coil where it connects to the plug. Also check the spark plug condition of #4; if it's dirty, out of gap spec or cracked, replace the plug.
My code said primary/secondary for igition coils being bad. Does that mean the first and second coils are bad ? And does the order of coil position number start from left to right?
Todd, I am replacing number one ignition coil, because that is what the diagnostic reading was. I cannot find anywhere in my Toyota manual which coil is number 1. Is it from left to right or right to left. Toyota Corolla 2006 S 1ZZ . Thanks

You forgot about the most critical part that always messes things up with these coils, and thats the little springs that are in there, if they fall out or get displaced, it causes a lot of headache...

I have cylinder 4 misfiring… does it go in order? I know spark plugs fire in different orders. Is 4 all the way to the right?
start from left is 1,2,3,4 u have the same issue as me misfire on 4 change that one only and u should be good to go like me.
