Youthforia is a makeup company that went viral by rage baiting UABW. I never heard of them until random white commentary creators started making videos about how black womens rage is being used to market brands/youthforia(like Jen Luv)
@ProbablyGone Long story short they intentionally didn't mix the darkest foundation shade properly and sent basically pure black pigment to dark skinned influencers. It went viral and people who make foundations, suppliers, commentary creators, etc spent weeks breaking the whole thing down. I had no idea until all the videos were made on YT.
You don’t need much to rage bait them. Sometimes they’re not even being trolled at all, but they still find a way to be offended over basically nothing (Tyla for example).
Yep, the way they kept talking about tyla "wanting" Halle to hold her award when she didn't even mention Halle's name, you just know they projected their insecurities on to Halle because they feel like they're beneath the mix women on their lifes. Theres also another one where this white guy dated a girl from each state and all the uabw where crying about how he wouldn't date someone like them, or that there were barely any black women in the video, it was so bad even Nicky Minaj had to call them out for looking desperate 😂
good point because the same thing happens in real life too at a small scale. i was a shy quiet girl but somehow everyone knew who i was because of UAMW bringing attention to me because apparently "i think im all that"😂

It becomes a crutch. No savings in their account for an emergency but 1000k on their head, to cover their hair. This is not balanced. And the solution is not to work Harder to get more money to pay for more hair. Hair has essentially become a diety and it should just be an accessory. I have 4c and loc my hair. Been natural for years and when I first did it, I got a lot of push back from, not black men but black women. I really believe there is a psychological sickness that surrounds black women and hair. We can do so many styles with our fluffy hair but many choose to pack their hair down, and have under wig caps sweating and collecting dead skin cells for weeks and in some cases, months. I wish we could all free ourselves of this mental prison, because at this point in US history, most people do not care about seeing our natural hair.
Back in the 2010s, I was more UA identified. That was when I was the most easily triggered. No surprise there. I’m so glad those days are over. Their nervous systems must be wrecks
I was subscribed to many women's empowerment channels run by African and monoracial women. Most of them ended up doing a segment on the amish sisters where I saw how little they cared about women and actually only meant monoracial blk women. The comments about us were DISTURBING. I HAVE 4c hair even though my skin is light and benefit from pretty privilege (now that I'm older and learning how to use it.) I left thoughtful comments on a few posts saying as multiracial woman I still have 4C hair and do understand the natural hair journey as well as some of the social issues that come with it. I was BULLIED off of those channels and recently blocked from one who I know even benefits from PP and ambiguity but has decided to consider herself monoracial. Im going to learn how to profit from their triggered-groupthink to accommodate for the harassment 😑
As a very dark skinned UABW with 4C hair, full lips and a button nose i can tell you that this is VERY common among women (it doesn't matter their age) who are not only monoracial, but secretly insecure. My kids are half black half Asian, and my oldest daughter looks like she could be Kimora Lee Simmons's oldest child. The amount of hate she got at public school from both white and black ghetto kids over her blackness is insane. So i let her go to school one day with her hair out (she has afro textured hair) and the kids were still being haters, saying that she must've chemically permed it, saying that i adopted her, etc. They could not handle a light-skin black girl with Asian features and long un-ambiguous 4b/4c hair. This ended up making her very popular by the end of the year. Also the amount of hate that i have gotten from adult women is the most surprising. other UABW (mostly older like early 40s and up) say stupid shit like "don't straighten her hair because then she wont look black at all" (its literally just hair, and she doesn't NEED to look black, how she looks is already perfect) and stuff like "i would be mad if i had all those kids and none of them looked like one of us (black people)" This is dumb because why would i be upset that my kids look like their father? At least i know who their father is unlike some of the women commenting. At my last job, i became known as "the black girl with Asian kids" and it ended up getting me a promotion because the internal interviewer was Blasian (black and Asian) and she had heard about me. At the end of the day i think a lot of those women cannot handle seeing people with pretty privilege. I know this because my 2 darkest children who have most of my features (they are more brown skinned than light skinned) both have 2b textured hair and i get stupid comments like "you better teach them that their hair doesn't make them special so they don't make the other kids in their class feel bad" (there are barely any black kids in their school so this is always a dumb take) Basically other moms are just upset that my kids are both biracial and pretty. Because you can only be ONE of those things, not both. Even if the hair texture is 4c they are mad that the kids are light skinned, even if the kids are darker and brown skinned they are mad that the hair texture is too loose and ambiguous and the child will be colorist. Both me and my husband are attractive so the kids would have never been ugly, but i feel like if they had been ugly then that would make other moms feel better about their ugly kids.
Omg! As a blasian I understand your frustration dealing with monitoring spirits! The darkskin blasians with loose hair gets monitored bc of their hair, the blasians with light skin & textured hair gets monitored bc of their skin!! They were so mean spirited towards MLS women that I had to create a list of reasons why I could allow myself to leave. And that I wasn’t a colorist, texturist, featurist or a white S for valuing my mental health. And the reason they’re still so deep in these conversations & can’t move on is bc they’re so easily rage-baited. Not every MLS person, white person, Asian person, black person etc are going to know the in’s and outs of politically correct black talking points. Nor will they all care. And so many UADS people can’t just let it be. They have to correct, fight & challenge everyone. The fact that random non-black / MLS people can make consistent money of their anger makes the black community look like a joke.
