The degree of difficulty of the series of shots made me appreciate of Lee Van's greatness. He is underrated.
In 2009 i saw these two play in the finals of a tournament (non televised) in star billiards pool hall in quezon city. Carlo Biado was not a internationally well known player at the time. Also, I believe in the same year Corteza got 1st runner up in the world 10ball championship. 15 years later, they’re still top pro players.
Corteza won in the finals of that tournament in Quezon City. He beat Biado in a Hill-Hill finals. I was there the day after the tournament
I was there in the front row when he ran this rack, unbelievably insane!
LVC is the most underrated player
He's not underrated, he's just not that good compared to the top players!
Though on occasion he would get hot and have a good run, even winning the entire thing.... but thise are few and far in between.
I think he is one of the top 5 greatest PH players of all time close to 5th behind Orcullo, Bustamante, Biado, Reyes. He won the US Open 9 ball, US Open 10 ball , Also the world cup of pool, Derby classic and many other tournaments in US.
Corteza has been around in pool for almost the last 30 years but he still looks young and the same. He is 45 right now and still winning some tournaments recently this Las Vegas open. He is also good in money games and always get feared by his opponents coz he always wins in money games. Its hard to be a consistent player for a long time in pool. Many players had stop playing on his era while he still continue playing until today. A solid player overall.

I’d pick Shane Van Boeing, Earl, Efren, Buddy Hall, Luther Lassiter, Ralph Greenleaf, Nick Varner, Ralf Soquet, Mike Sigel, Joshua Filler, Wu Chia Ching over LVC. You should show the game between Joshua Filler and Albin Ocean that just happened in Connecticut. Albin miscued on the break and didn't hit anything. Josh got ball and put the cue ball a few inches away from the 1 ball and played a safety. Albin scratched and Josh played another safety. Albin hit the 1 ball, but nothing hit a rail. Josh won the game for 3 fouling. They were both smiling and laughing.

I have racks like this every day. Always out of position but pull some shots out of my butt. Nice to see pros do it too. It's rare, because they're so damn good.

The only balls he got good shape on was the 3 and 4 to 9 combo. I was for sure he was gonna play safety on the 4,nope and On the 6,nope. Even the 10 ball was no easy shot. He definetly has that snooker type of accuracy.

Why do the balls stay in the pockets? Why not use tables that have mechanism to take the potted balls into a tray at the end of the table?

Commentators just commentate what you see. Don’t make predictions on what the player should is about to do then act surprised when they make a shot you didn’t even see.
What's the point of a commentary if they only describe what's happening ? For blind people ? Commentators aren't always right but they give good insights, stats, guesses etc...

It depends on the tournament. This is a predator tournament, so they are using predator balls. Predator using the original color scheme. Most other events have the pink four, and the blue 7.
